Traditions buck stalker .50 cal

Hunter MagHunter Mag Member Posts: 6,610 ✭✭✭
For christmas my son received a traditions buck stalker inline muzzel loader in .50 cal. The solvent that came with it is very effective and I'm wondering where to purchase more when he runs out. It cleans much better than hoppe's #9. Would regular copper solvent be just as effective?
We zeroed her in at 50yds and had a blast doing it. [:p]
I'm new to muzzel loaders and so is my son so any info is appreciated.

not sure what solvent came with it, but most large gun shops have black powder solvent, it is different than hoppes, I think BP solvent is water based, while hoppes is petroleum based. for a quick in the field cleaner use rubbing alchohol it will clean and any leftover in the barrell will evaporate in a few seconds.
