Corrosion from firing caps

I'm going to be selling a .36 Navy revolver replica here soon. It hasn't been fired in probably 40 years, has been stored in a presentation case, and is in excellent condition except that I can see some rusty-looking corrosion on the bases of the percussion cap nipples.
What would you recommend for removing this? I have a nipple wrench for it, but would hate to try getting them out at this stage.
