Do you think this is an accident?
This little clown will be a journalist for forty more years.
BTW, did you notice the absolute abandonment of journalistic integrity by these asshats?
They don't report but rather point fingers and doubt.

how old is it?
223 years...watch the link.
what is so freaking hard to understand!!!!
the little liberal POS sure get the 1st, but it's like the 2nd was written in Sanskrit
Maybe, just maybe, if we read and explained the Constitution to our children, the flame of Liberty will be passed to another generation.
If we allow the unionized liberal so-called "education system" to that task, we have failed of ancestors, ourselfs, and our children.
"shall not be infringed"

This is why I recommend a framed copy of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution and Bill of Rights be framed and prominently displayed in every home.
In a child's home these framed works of art should be at childs' eye level.

+1
But he did not say what you accuse him of saying. He was asked if reading the Constitution is a gimmick. He responds that it is a gimmick, and that pulling this political stunt has no effect upon anything.
Context matters. He was answering a question not about the Constitution but about the act of reading it on the House floor. The Fox news person framed it for him as such. When she asked if it was a gimmick there really wasn't anyplace to go for an answer.
Of course the GOP is pulling a political grandstanding stunt. They are doing it to stroke the voters, to give them a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Reading the Constitution on the House floor will not have any binding effect upon anything they do.
It is showmanship, not leadership.
Well, he is off on the age and he is annoyingly flippant about it all.

You're right.
Not referring to it is much, much better......
The point this journalist made is crystal clear.
He doesn't care about the Constitution and would prefer that no mention of it be made in public discourse.

At least their reading it now maybe they'll learn something

I'd like to make an observation about your observation. First, not every good looking blond news dudette (fox) works for FOX News. Norah O'Donnell is a commentator for NBC News' Today Show and Washington, D.C. correspondent for MSNBC. Neither NBC nor MSNBC is affiliated with FOX News.
Ezra Klein said "Yes it's a gimmick. I mean you could say two things about it. One is that it has no binding power on anything, and then two the issue of the Constitution is not that people don't read the text they think they're following, the issue of the Constitution is that the text is confusing because it was written more than a hundred years ago and what people believe it says differs from person to person and differs depending on what they want to get done, so I wouldn't expect too much coming out of this."
Ezra Klein talks like he's auditioning for a job as an auctioneer, so I can see how you were confused by what he said. Everything he said before the first conjunction and after the last comma was about the "gimmick". What he said in the middle was about the Constitution.
He's usually wrong about most things, and he's wrong about the constitution, but he is correct that the Constitution is over a hundred years old.
It IS NOT the fault of the Constitution that some people can't read and understand the English Language.

MSM = propaganda arm of government.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, I am right, but not with the green tinge you provided.
The point the talking head was making was clear but as usual we defeat ourselves by always pretending the other side is the Devil and redefining their words in the worst possible way. This tactic halts all conversation and prevents anyone working with anyone else. It happens between groups on the same side, not just across the conservative-liberal divide.
Again, he did not say what you are claiming. He only spoke to the gimmickry the new majority is starting their reign with. Imagining additional meanings and intentions is not Truth and is not helping to solve any of America's troubles.
The new GOP majority will not read the Constitution and do what it says. They will do what they think they can interpret it to mean in support of their agenda.
Which is primarily to regain and hold onto political power.
He is the type that reminds me of the compliant Jews in Europe during the 1930's. Truly, deeply and completely clueless about the evil of tyranny.
Did all 14 viewers of MSNBC see this?

Most likely Nancy Pelosi and her herd of Dim Azzhat lockstep followewrs have never actually read the document they are sworn to uphold.
God above, I hope he can't breed.

It's true that MSNBC has 14 viewers, but I don't think they all watch at the same time. [:D]
Much easier to let someone else do your thinking for you .[}:)]
Truly pathetic .
how old is it?
It is so old, when it was written rainbows were black and white.
