Well I Had my Review at Work Today

Well I'm not known to be a braggart but I was told by the manager that I'm currently the best dish washer their hotel has ever had.
Out of 15 different work related criteria I scored 10- 10's and 5-9's. In a bit over 6 months I have not been a minute late nor taken any days off (except to go deer hunting) 2 days with permission.
She said they could not find a single fault in my worth ethic. So they gave me a $0.75 raise. Most likely a bit extra because this review should have been done 3 months ago. Even my daughter who they love more then me never got that big of a jump.[:)][:)]

Its nice to be appreciated and that appreciation shown monetarily, much better than a gold pen.

Few words are more appreciated than "well done"!

Between this and the coaching, you're having quite a Q1!!

    Good for you !!!!!!

Good for your manager / boss to reward some one who does their job.
Too many of the higher ups never even notice who pulls their weight and then some.

You should be pleased with yourself !!!!

Well I begged them for 6 months to hire me as I think they were kind of afraid of a father/daughter combo. In hind sight they probably had wished that they'd have hired me sooner.[:D][:D]

I retired from the city 2-1/2 years ago. I got kinda lazy and sat around to much. I had talked to my daughter a bit over a year ago and asked her if she could get me in where she worked. I've always wanted to work in a kitchen and I volunteered every chance I got to do KP in the Army. They seemed to be reluctant to hire me but they finally gave in. A dish washer job is not what most people would want to do even at an entry level job. I had nothing to loose and everything to gain and be able to work with my daughter and make her job less stressful. On top of that I lost 20 lbs, I never sit down and besides there isn't even a chair around to sit on. I never stop moving even if its to put one coffee cup away. They hired another girl the younger sister of a girl that worked the front desk. She worked the weekends and had no job ethics. That happens with young kids, they could care less. She worked about 6-7 weekends and she decided to quit. She never worked the last weekend that she was supposed to and now is gone. They are currently looking for a weekend dish washer.

I don't think they even use it at all. They were supposedly starting to change their entire menu over to a more healthy menu. I don't know how more healthy they can get. The only thing I eat there is munching on some breakfast sausages and they only serve them on Monday's & Friday's.

Awesome! I think someone such as yourself will do wonders for them.....seeing someone work like they are supposed to, show up, be on time, it will be a huge wake up call for the slackers and they cannot substitute having that kind of help, no matter how much they pay.
