So we are taking in a new dog. German Shorthair pointer. 1-1/2 yo. Named Lucky.
All our dogs have had people names. Actually had a dog named Hillary when I was a kid. Since then, Sasha, Lucy, Charlie (Charles George), Jasper.
We may re-name him. He's an interesting looking dog and needs an interesting name.
Looking for ideas. If we use your name, I'll send you some sort of care package that will be a mix of semi-useful items, home-made edibles and other interesting but worthless stuff.
Thanks for the help!
edit to make clear it's a male.

I'm not sure he could live up to such a monumental name as Don the * Kicker. I'll run it by my wife. Good luck.

Some cat names I've given in the past. Booger, Gummy, Mouse. Even named my sister's cat Foreplay, but then I named her dog Dawg.
Dogs that I have named. Dammit, Arthur, Merlin, Missy, Leonardo, Peewee.
I named my horse, he was actually a hammerhead, Jughead.

To be clear...
Human Females and Males alike have been mixing up names for several decades.
Lynn for instance... Lynard or Lynn
Andy is another... Andrew or Andrea.
And Terry... Guy or Gal.
And I know supposedly, spellin' denotes whether or not you're talkin' to a guy or gal...
But even then... You REALLY don't know that anymore either.
IMO... A name is a name is a name...
And no longer denotes a masculine or feminine persuasion.
I kinda like Lucky my self... Sounds like a good dog's name. [;)]
Gomer, the guard dog......
Would he be Goober's cousin...

In Germanic mythology he was associated with the hunt and his name means 'frenzy', appropriate for a shorthair!
(BTW, not wanting to enter, if you use this name give the goodies to the runner up.)
