Because cold weather actually slows people down. It has to do with something with their metabolism, warm weather is when you get all the work done and can play harder and do more....

I love to go water skiing, hunting camping and fishing, playing baseball, golfing and a hundred other things in warm weather. The only thing I enjoy doing in cold weather is ice climbing... So you can see there are a lot more activities you can do with warm weather making it more pleasant...

So what's your Next stupid question you want answered...

50-60 is pleasant. 75-80 is too dang hot. Above 80 is "help me I've died and gone to hell" weather.

I used to thrive on cold in Alaska, NO MORE. Age, aches, arthritis and pain all make cold suck. I do not like humidity and sweating like a human lawn sprinkler but it is part of the price gladly paid to be painless.

I always wanted to move ?up nort?, but there weren?t ever any jobs around the Big Fork, Effie region.

Winters my favorite time of year. Best fishing through the ice, best hunting when it?s really cold out, you don?t sweat at work. Lots of fun activities like snowmobiling.

    Yah, buddy!

When it comes to weather, people like to * about it no matter what the extremes tend to naturally make of it.[:D]

Around here it has only been a week and a half since a nasty heavy wet snow and ice storm that left a foot high pile. Today we hit 80 degrees and there is still a few remnants of that storm lurking in the shady spots.

I have been ready for Spring since mid February but know that where I live, that is just a fairytale fantasy!

This is going to be one of those years where we go from deep winter into hot Summer without any real Spring to give us time for our blood to thin!

bobski, don't they have sunscreen and bug repellent in your world?
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain
