All of my bars have been the safari model current one Mark II safari 7mm all have been reliable biggest down fall to that model is getting the first scratch
WW is known to stop providing ammo and brass for cartridges that dont sell or make a run every 5 years meaning no ammo and if you find it, expect to pay around $75 or more for a box.
The long established and popular 300 Win Mag will perform about the same and you can get ammo just about anywhere for half the price.
As difficult as this is to say, I agree with Ricci. It's the first shot, not the follow up's that matter.
My .30-.06 is a Single shot NEF Ultra Rifle. Nice optics, Harris bipod.
(Single shots train you to hold your shot, until you are sure.) IMHO.
.270 is a Savage 110 bolt, also with nice optics.
I am going to disagree with most and say the 300 wsm would be a great choice. I've got one in a model 70 and from the looks of sales figures don't think you will have any trouble getting ammo for the foreseeable future. I do have dies and bullets for it but the Federal Fusion worked so well I haven't done much load development. I also have a 270 wsm and would be more concerned about ammo availability for it but I have probably a lifetime supply. Why do I have both? Because I could and did and both have performed great. Bob
Nice looking rifle I'm certain your going to like it
Daniel. That is one Pretty Rifle! Very Nice!
Here is my 7mm I bought it used so that I didn't have to give it it's first scratches
Very nice looking rifle DG.
Exceptional wood.
Congrats.

OK guys I got it and shot it just three times because it doesn't fit me.
first shot was in the bull's eye and the next two shots were low and right just outside bull's eye but touching one another
It has a stock that is 3 inches too short for me does someone make a thicker recoil pad or spacers and a recoil pad for it?
I will be researching my self
I usually put a Limbsaver recoil pad on most of my long guns
