I didn't want to hijack Ken's thread about tractors too bad so I thought I would make another thread. In addition to the gun store I run a fairly sizable farming operation. My family is big into old tractors, my father, who passed on around 4 years ago organized a "Tractor Trek" in our area for several years before his death. It is now an annual memorial trek for my dad. I would like to share some pictures of my tractors and those of the annual trek. It is a ton of fun.

There are normally around 70-100 vintage tractors when we run this every year. Here are a few of my tractors:
This JD 2520 is pretty rare, I had my eye out for one for awhile and finally bought one earlier this year.
This is my dads 4020 Diesel, his favorite tractor which is mine now. I drove it in the last trek.
Little Farmall A with loader
Allis WD planting sweet corn with an old MM planter, I plant about an acre of sweet corn every year for my kids to sell.
Here is "shootuadeal jr's" Little Allis C. He fell in love with this at an auction last spring and I let him buy it with his own money, he loves dragging the yard with it or putzing around on it.
Here are my babies I make most of my living with:
.....And just for the fun of it, had a miserably wet spring so here are a couple of stuck farming pics. This is the big one, Got stuck, brothers brought their track tractor over, got that stuck, brought another over and eventually got three tractor attached to each other all stuck at once, brothers brought there quad tractor over and eventually got all of us out:

Great pictures, Makes me miss the farm life that I grew up in. I envy you being able to play in the dirt and get stuck. 😁
I grew up with the old farmalls. My grandfather did have a John Deere A and a steam Case that he would take to the Old Thresher shows in MO.

Wouldn't it be nice if they made a quick disconnect coupler for those big implements so you could just eject it when you thought you were starting to get stuck?
Didn’t know we had any active farmers on the board . Good pictures of the trek . Some farmers down the road from me do the same thing
I'm From ND. I think you might be thinking of mobuck, he is a farmer/rancher in SD I believe.
That would be handy, there actually is such an item for smaller implements such as balers.
Standard procedure when you start spinning with the big tractors is stop before you dig in too deep, get unhooked and most of the time you can drive the tractor out. You can then hook a chain to the implement and pull it out.
Learn to drive on a Massey Ferguson. Loved that little tractor. Dad baled hay for my grandfather and other farmers in the area for a cut to feed our Hereford cattle. When I was about 7 or 8 my job was to pull the wagon for the hands to throw and stack the bales. Daddy cut. Left it to dry for a day. Came back when it was ready. Mama would rake, Dad would bale and I would trail to load.
Hard work, but honest work. Local boys loved working for my Dad. He paid well per bale so they worked hard. Kept everyone supplied with bologna sandwiches and cold sodas.
Then dad went "no-till" when all three sons grew up and went on their way.
My sons have thanked me for not bringing them up in a world of 90-hour weeks, etc.
Super A , superC , farmall 200 , allis chamblers c model . John Deere 420 and a long 445 . The long was the second new tractor daddy ever bought the super a being the first . Finished up my farming career with a Massey Ferguson 150 and a 165 . There may have been a few others that came and went that I don’t remember . Almost forgot my favorite a ford 601
