I wanted one when they first came out.
Went looking for one at suggested retail price.
Nope, all greatly over-priced.
Then I heard they had problems and production had paused.
I lost interest at that point.
Did you get some kind of smoking Black Friday deal?? If so where?? I'm one of those who thinks you can never have enough 22s!! Either the guns themselves or the ammo!!
great buy
My gunshop had me try one and I know Mark has a few I think but the one I tried for them just wasn't very good. Course it was brought back in after sold and I found the same issues. Had several jams, overall workmanship or lack of was fair. It is not a West German gun by far. IMO ONLY.
Some of the early ones were not made in Germany. This one is . Lifetime Warranty.
No thank you.
Make sure you keep it lubricated & it should be reliable. I suggest a graphite grease.
Give us a range report when you get a chance ! Nice find
Walther/Manhuran PP & PPKs are great guns. Just stay away from the S&W PPK. 22lr Walther was/is TPH. James Bond carried a PPK in 32ACP. Ole Adolf ended his political career with a PPK in 32ACP. l have a Walther PP in 32ACP. The PP is a bit larger than a PPK. Most PPKs used to be shipped with two magazines. One had the extended finger groove. The other fit flush in the grip frame. The PPK pictured in 22lr has the extended finger groove magazine. A real pain if you plan on carrying concealed. Finger groove extension catches on EVERYTHING😟
It's kind of a confusing situation? But I don't believe the new ones are made same as the old original one. My understanding is that at least the frame, is zinc alloy casting, ( potmetal ). Maybe the slide also? The price you got it at, substantiates this. As all it is , is a 22 plinker. It don't make a heck of a lot of difference, as long as it's reliable and your happy with it.
New ones are made in Arkansas. I'm curious to get some feedback on them if they are any good.
I was talking about the early ones made of steel, 70's version can't compare to the new 22's , not a chance.
I had a TPH... what a piece of Junk
