I had a great bourbon experience this morning

Wifey sent me to the grocery this morning for butter, so I popped into the liquor store while there just to check for anything good. They actually had one bottle of Blantons so I snatched it right up. The really cool thing, it was dumped/bottled on 12/31 which is my dads birthday. So I will be opening this on 12/31 to toast Dad on what would have been his 85th birthday.
Cheers!

I drank my last bottle of Blanton's earlier this year. My mouth is watering.
Sweet!
It is getting tougher and tougher to find.
Good bourbon is like ammo: you can never have enough stockpiled.
I heard that with my bad ear
Blantons, Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, and another which I can't recall the name of.......they basically come into our warehouse and we fill backorders and they're gone within a couple days.

Back home in northern Indiana Buffalo Trace is everywhere 23-27 a bottle, Blantons, Eagle Rare not so much.
I like Michters Kentucky, how is it compared to Blantons or BT?
I really like Michters 10 year (obvious right ) but the Michters toasted barrel might be my favorite Michter product
IMHO.. Michters outshines Blantons and for the life of me I don’t get the appeal of Buffalo Trace
Hey thanks I have not seen Toasted barrel. Thinking about it, I may have tried a BT and thought like you.
I just got two bottles of Blantons. One at a bar and the other at Buffalo Trace. The first one I bought, was bottled on my birthday, September 7th. I'm going to open that one, when our son gets married, so he better hurry up. lol
Love it. I am trying to find a bottle with a 4/7/20 dump date ( day my grandson was born) my plan is to put it away and open it on his 21st birthday and share a drink with him
