When I was younger and in Chicago----On never mind🙄
No but I have been escorted out of town.
1984 4 speed manual. Great little Ford but not much gusto.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
You want a latter one the early ones had quite a few problems. The best ones Model 61-3 serial numbers ran from B40001 to B65438. I would stay away from anything earlier
Thanks for that info
Shot one of my customers nickel finished ones with the white grips. It was her purse gun and she was having problems with feeding hang ups. I don't remember what ammo she was using but we tried some mini mag solids and that cured the problem. I shot it 5 times, one mag full, and it functioned o.k. and gave a decent group on a 7 yard target. It felt awkward in my hand but still hit what I was aiming at. Bob
Neighbor had one. Gave it to his wife as a carry gun in the 1970’s. She kept in a purse and forgot all about it....until she was going through security at an airport lol. She almost went to jail over it. He did get it back and from then on it sat in a drawer. I don’t think he ever shot it. If I were going to carry a .22 mouse gun there are only two that I feel comfortable with and that’s the Beretta 21A or a Walther TPH. I had a Beretta and it functioned 100%
I could never afford an escort but I have seen a few that sure looked good!!
+1,
The one I last shot, was only reliable with Mini-Mag solids.
They came and went fairly quickly, Smith dropped them in the mid 70's. Personally something I wouldn't rely on. They were the bright idea of the Bangor Punta outfit. After they took over Smith in the 60's.
A new Escort wagon with AC was once $6,000 in the lot. 1980s? Even at that price they sat.
I was digging in my box of zipper cases yesterday and found a blue one with the Gold Smith and Wesson lettering that is for one of these pistols. If any of you need this for your gun, send me your address and I'll send it over. My email is mckaygunsales@gmail.com
