I have a bunch of gun boxes.
Be sure to stop at WAWA. The only thing I miss about living in Jersey.
I'm assuming you aren't coming through Memphis. Let me know the next time you are near my area. Even if I don't have something for you I would love to visit. BTW, I'm not in Memphis but its the closest to what I would assume would be a route you would travel.
Sorry we missed you on your trip north.
I have two people that I regularly meet up with in Memphis. I plan on having to go out there pretty soon. I just don't know when. I'm surprised I haven't gotten the call to go yet, its typically every other month or so that I head that way. With everything that is going on lately, nothing is as it always has been. I'd LOVE to meet up. I will definitely let you know when I'm headed that way. It should be soon.
Kasey, will you be coming thru Maryland or further north thru PA?
It looks like the route will be
Birmingham (59)
Chattanooga (75)
Knoxville (40-81)
Roanoke (still 81)
....through Maryland and on to
Harrisburg, Hershey
Allentown
landing just this side of New York
Ken's thought on picking things up on your way south has a lot of merit. If you get stopped in Joisey with a gun that's legal in one of the southern states but not there it could really put a crimp in your hobby!
When I first saw the title of the post, I thought what NeoBlackdog typed ^^^^^^^^^ wouldn't want my guns in a trailer in NJ...
Kasey, I made the Roanoke to no. Jersey many times. With covid, traffic could be less, but: Avoid Harrisburg during rush hour. Allentown (Rt 78) will be busy then also. Rt. 78 in Jersey is usually ok until the eastern end. Definitely avoid the 287 / 80 interchange at rush hour +. Let me know if you would like any help navigating in no. Jersey or what areas/roads to avoid. AL
We are definitely going north empty.....staying in a hotel, picking up what we are traveling to get and heading south. The plan would be to make it back down to the southern end of Virginia and stay in a hotel if we aren't driving the entire way back that day. Its a 14.5 hour drive, so I'm guessing that after the morning load it will be pushing things to drive the entire way back. It shouldn't be a problem to pick up items on the way back if anyone would like to avoid paying the shipping fees to get things to us.
