I am sorry..... Please forgive me.
Hey everyone,
I haven't been here in months. Many months. I thought about you guys many times, just didn't feel like talking, which for a crazy Irishman, is pretty bad.
Been some dark months here. So far since June, I've lost 5 of my friends / business associates. 2 from heart attacks, 2 from cancer and one by his own hand. His wife was one of the heart attack victums and 11 days later he took his onw life.
With the Covid, I couldn't go to the hospices and say good bye to 2 of them. Heart attacks do not make an appointment and how do you see a suicide coming? He was fine, or so it seemed the day before.
We couldn't have any kind of memorial or service. Brian's family did do a zoom service a few weeks after he past. But, I didn't get to say good by, either in person or by the casket and it hurt. Hurt like hell.
Kind of got into a rut. Between all of this and business open, business closed, wear your mask, can't go to the banks here in WI, gotta' use the drive thur, can't eat indoors, limited seating in church and we won't even start on the screwed up politics of this country, yeah, I got suck in a rut.
I could stay in the rut, which shows no respect for my friends, or I could honor their life by the friendship they gave me and the memories I treasure......................
How about the time, Brian and I are in South Dakota doing our best to thin out the prairie dog population and Brian let me drive his BRAND NEW Dodge RAM around the prairie and I top a ridge and go right through a barb, 4 wire fence. I stop and he looks at me and says, "Well, guess you'll get to use that fancy Leatherman tool you carry about now."
Remembering things like this, has gotten me most of the way out of the rut.
BUT, there is GOOD news.................... Drum roll please................................. As of October 12th., I am cancer FREE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had my 18 month check up and all was good. Yes, I do thank God every day. I am alive. I will honor my friends past and those I know today and the ones I haven't met yet.
I wonder, are there Dodge 4X4's in heaven and fences? Prairie dogs?
Fair warning, I'll be around more..............................

Good news on your cancer front, congrats. And welcome back!
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
That is great news.....!!!!!
Welcome back, pinshooter. Brighter days ahead.
Glad to hear about the good screening results. Your 2020 was a bad one, but having the additional C weight off your shoulda will hopefully get you set for a better ‘21!

Glad to see you back 44. It seems like you had a slight comeback a few months ago, and then you went below the radar. Sorry for your losses, some things are tough to deal with. Hopefully you will stick around for a bit, and we can cheer you up, well maybe just stick around.
