Gun reform

BobJudyBobJudy Member Posts: 6,630 ✭✭✭✭

It's starting already!

They call for " gun safety reform " but never tell us what that emotionally charged term means. It is going to be a real painful 4 years and even worse if Georgia votes in democrat senators. Bob

I agree with you about a painful next four years if we lose control of the Senate.

They are going to have to open a lot of reeducation camps to indoctrinate the the right wing gun owners here in The South. There will be enough Rhino's to make it happen however regardless of the elections in January. The end time is nigh.

The supreme court judges are now all NWO stooges. I would not count on any Hail Mary's to cut off the leftist programs on gun control confiscation either. There is case law already in play to rule on it and it will be going that way, I afraid.

    serf,

This is the biggest load of garbage you could put into print. You need to back away and get a fresh perspective on life here in the U.S. and quit being so negative. Decompress man! Take a breath, have a nice meal with friends (socially distanced, of course...) and clear out all the downward spiraling thoughts you're having. Give us a break!

I am afraid that those of us that are P.O.'d are a small minority of the 74 million. I hope this has been a wake up call but somehow I doubt it. Apathy runs rampant in this country because of our history of affluence. With the government giveaways keeping the average voter dependent and happy, a lot won't want to make waves. The gullibility level of the average voter is monumental. Most of the voters only look at things from an instant gratification viewpoint and don't think long term. The upcoming administration will chip away the freedoms we have left and most won't notice or care until it is to late. It is pretty cynical and pessimistic on my part to have this view but the evidence out there supports it. Bob

This signifies why the senate race in Georgia is so important. If the Republicans lose, then the balance of power of the legislative branch shifts to the Dems. They would then be able to enact legislation as well.

At that point, waiting for court cases flowing up to the Supreme Court Is the only thing that can slow the reduction of our so called ‘God Given rights’.

Exactly. I don't see our side ever getting off their butts and doing anything substantial. Any that do will be labeled right wing nutcases and the media will make an example of them and their lives and finances will be ruined.

Well Australia & New Zealand fell fast into gun control, but here in The USA you will have a different profile of gaining the upper hand by chipping away at our second amendment. If the small arms treaty with The U.N. is ratified you may have a different out look yourself. All of this Trump did below will be overturned shortly. Biden will come for your AR -15's soon enough and Israel will be sanction for war crimes too.

Examples of this pattern of conduct are the withdrawal from the Paris Agreement in June 2017; the withdrawal from UNESCO in October 2017; pulling out from the negotiations on the Global Compact on Migration in December 2017; the unilateral military attacks, together with France and the United Kingdom, against Syria in violation of the UN Charter in April 2018; pulling out of the U.N.’s Human Rights Council in June 2018; the withdrawal of both the Optional Protocol of the 1961 Vienna Convention of Diplomatic Relations and of the 1955 Treaty of Amity with Iran in October 2018; the withdrawal in February from the Intermediate-range Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty with Russia; or the recent decision to revoke the entry visa to the U.S. of Fatou Bensouda, the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court. In the case of U.S. withdrawal from the ATT, in addition to the political considerations associated with it, the decision is based on a clear misconception of what the treaty is and what it does. To better understand the gravity of this misguided decision, it is important to take a look at the history behind the treaty and at its content, especially its object and purpose.

Believe as you wish. Pushing the idea of establishing re-education camps is stupidity. The U.S.is NOT Australia. This pandering to fear mongering is unconscionable. Like I suggested, back up, take a breath and get a grip.
