i have state wide archery tag,.... ive shot a lot of big whitetails, but have no mule deer on the wall so was scouting out ground in the river breaks along the Missouri river near my place for spot and stalk to change things up we did see some deer in the area earlier this fall, one was a very nice buck. today scouting we did see two small bucks and several does, they were on tribal land right next to the corps land. if weather stays decent i will try trapping bobcat when that season starts

Beautiful country.
That looks like some great habitat !!!!!!! Hope you connect with a nice buck !
Very nice. Good luck.
There's some really nice country along the Missouri.
Missouri Breaks, eh? Watch out for a guy in a dress.
Where are you located cowdoc? Looks like Nebraska or SD. The wife and I are headed back out that way Wednesday to hunt some sharpies and pheasant.
central South Dakota near Pierre where are you from?
he dog you lost me with that
went scouting this afternoon again seen 2 smaller bucks and about 15 mule deer does since rifle season just ended couple weekends ago id be surprised if the big one ive seen is still around but none the less just scouting and checking things out in the rough county is very enjoyable esp with the extremely nice weather weve been having in the 40's for high's and 50's tues but then down into the 20's and single digit lows for a couple day sure cant complain about that at all in these parts
Been there several times. A friends lives in Gettysburg. Not this year, but most years we bird hunt a place west of the river, 5000 acres of deeded land surrounded by reservation. There are some nice mule deer in the area. Perhaps one year I'll apply and be lucky enough to draw a tag. If I lived there I think I would hunt some of the corps land, accessing it from the river by boat.
A couple of years ago I visited the first week of June and the fishing on the Missouri was great, despite high water. A couple of days we fished white bass below the dam at Pierre.
a guy i know from Pierre guides on the river he must have it figured out as the pics ic on FB of fish they catch are huge Bass and etc "Shane Cowan Guide Service" hes on facebook i know him and his family, they are very good people no idea what it cost though
I'm just outside of Fort Smith, but enjoy duck/upland/deer hunting in SD and Nebraska. We'll be staying in Valentine, NE next week. We usually head across the line to the Rosebud Casino for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. Awesome country you get to enjoy there.
The Movie Missouri Breaks. Brando played a killer and dressed as a women. Batpoop crazy character.
