"Just don't haul anything in the box ... dents easy."
And it seems everyone wants to call them a "truck".
Here's an interesting article on the use of aluminum in pickups.

Been aluminum since 2015 . Seems to
be holding up well . My impression after two months of living with a 2018 model is that it works out ok . Granted I no longer work construction and haul big loads but no complaints so far .
Most new pickups I see around here never haul anything anyway, so dents will be no problem. Much like having a 4x4 and never leaving the pavement.
My 2015 was the first year with the aluminum body.....It has held up quiet well. I live on a gravel road and use in on the farm as well as my daily ride...Mine has a bed liner and like about any other truck bed, if you haul rocks, bricks etc it will booger it up.........
That's what I have also, only our road is kind of paved, but my driveway is gravel. No issues with the aluminum on mine, I just need to give it a bath.

Good article Neo. Also let's not forget that the truck (real trucks) manufactures have been using aluminum since the early to mid 1960s. Not just for bodies, but frames as well.
