Guys and Gals I came across this Muzzle-loader for sale
I have never owned one like this
so I have some questions
can I buy other barrels and they will work good with this stock and frame
any and all advice from you ins is appreciated
likes and dislikes welcomed also
Comments
and does anyone make a barrel in 300WSM
I have found 300WIN but no 300WSM yet
All T/C barrels should work, looks like an Encore frame , so Encore barels
Here is a link to TC about the FX. I think it is muzzleloader only. Bob
that is what I was afraid of Muzzle-loader only
thank you
it is a muzzleloader only. Great gun. All my friends hunt with them. What was the price????? If your into muzzleloader, it is a top choice.
thanks $450.00
I really love my old Remington 700ML .54
don't know if I am ready to retire it
maybe one of my sons will like this one
If the scope and mounts are included that's not a bad deal. As Oakie said it is a great gun and the 450 price is about 40% off of new for the whole set up. Bob
yes sir they were on it when I bought it
I feel like it was a fair price
I am still going to clean the inside of the barrel some more
I don't know why people won't clean their muzzle-loader barrels
The no-tools screw out breach plug makes them a snap to clean.
yes sir out of habit I put anti-seize lubricant on breech plug threads
I reckon this one don't need it
triple lead thread design gives it more area between the threads that HELPS prevent breech plug seizing from powder corrosion,
I would still put anti-seize on it , it only say it helps the plug from seizing up , it doesn't say it stops it completely
I hunt with an Encore Muzzle loader and as easy as it is to get the plug out it is still the worst part of black powder hunting. you have to remove the ejector to get the plug removed. It just a pain, not hard to do, but time consuming. You have to clean it to keep using it period.
You can forever do away with that issue by getting the inexpensive replacement ejector by tipping the ejector 90 degrees allowing easy removal of the plug. IIRC it was BELLM that carried it.
Thank you, never heard of it. Bellm has it listed but is out of stock. Ill email them and keep looking. Best $23 a person could spend.

Why does a muzzle loader need an ejector?
to pull the 209 shotgun primer out to where you can grab it with your finger tips
Oh I see, thanks. I know pretty much nothing about modern muzzleloaders.
Talk about modern muzzleloaders, now they came out with one that still loads a bullet or ball through the muzzle, but then you charge it with a plastic bullet fitted with a 209 primer. Im starting to feel like that takes it a little too far? Some shoot out to 200 yards like a rifle. Great for the hunter, but pretty soon traditional muzzleloading will be history. Was bad enough when the sabots came out, patches and balls were esentially eliminated.
Never cared for them modern inline muzzle loaders myself. Don't know too much about them. Always followed traditional side locks and especially flintlocks. Wood stocks and mostly LONG barrels. There are a few of us out there that follow the old ways. It is a matter of choice and self sufficiency. To each his own.
I will never bad mouth anyone who enjoys any of the shooting sports. I respect each persons preferences.
Still using my old Remington 700 ML .54 myself. Have bought others but just can't give up on the old Rem.
Got a new ejector on the way, was one of the best pieces of information I got in a long time. Thank you bpost.
mine has taken as many or more deer than any other gun I have
