Very sad
An NR buyer, let's hope he follows through.
At that price the seller ought to throw in a rifle with the ammo. Bob
What surprises me is someone with 26 prior purchases bid $100 on it. He is not a newbie.
A fool and his money....
That's crazy!
Most have sold for 50 bucks per 500. High would be 75
If it was CCI or Ely I could see that price (kinda/sorta) but Thunderbolts?? My experience is the Thunderbolts are very inaccurate.
And about 5% will not go bang....
Thus the common "Thunderbirds" moniker.
Thunder duds...
That's what I typed.
Autocorrected or censored I guess.
A very smart buyer!
If If Creepy Joe and the Ho get sworn-in, he can resale it for $242!
After seeing the ammo posts, I am thinking maybe I should put some of mine up for sale. Hard to do though not knowing what the Biden admin is going to do.
i will list a single cci for just the low price of 59.99 and if you act nowi will include a 2nd one free just pay seprate fee
Madness. Give it another 3 months.
Yeah.............last year I bought a bunch of those Thunderbolt packs from Midway on sale for $14.99/ ea........at that price, I figured it was worth it for the "Thunder-duds".
Can't believe the sale price on the auction...........I could make a killing.
I fear that ammo prices won't come down for a long time from now............IF EVER.
Ammo is always an investment, and those who got some prior to 2020 might have some lead that can actually be turned into gold, alchemy is REAL.
In the words of Daffy Duck- "I'm RICH! I'm WEALTHY! I'm comfortably well off!"
WOW
Guy who bought those Thunderbolts must be a "Lightfoot" 🙄
OMG that's insane
I have over 33 K 22 lr assorted brands give or take a thousand or two I gave away about 10k to friends and family over the last year or so .
at that selling price I may have to break open the containers and sell some at any where near that price I would be a happy fellow ( no not that "happy " LOL )
I think there is even some thunder duds in the mix then use the money to buy some new toys or add on's to the old ones

I'll be your friend Ditch-Runner! 😁
always nice to have a new friend . ( even if I have bribe one )
I gave away several bricks of 22lr on here a few years ago when the Christmas for the kids was popular
when they were difficult to get the 22's (not the kids ) also nice I received back thank you e-mails and photos from the winners
that was also when the Christmas give away was going strong thanks to Oakie and Woody / woodshead ? both were big hearted and took on the responsibility of controlling the give always not to mention great additions to the forum . both are missed
The buyer for some reason must have a great fondness for Thunderduds. Prices on 22 is stupidly high but if you are patient and check the auction side often you can do a lot better than that. For instance;
Much better ammo and twice as much for only a few dollars more. I have a couple thousand that I paid about $20 a brick for after the last shortage and most of my 22s like it as well or better than MiniMags. Bob
I have a case of CCI std velocity. A case of WOLF Match Target. A case of Aguila Super Extra Std. Vel and a case of CCI Auto Match. It should hold me over until the panic is done.
I remember when the last shortage hit and finding ammo to shoot NRA bullseye got to be a real issue. Like the last time the panic and shortage will pass and prices will go back to normal.
Buyer should shop better

Things have gone over the limit.
Poking around on another ammo source site and 22 magnum ammo price is close to .80 cents a round. I thought .10 cents a round was too much not long ago.
Looking a recent GB ammo sales it seems to be softening a bit. One can buy only so much.
Agreed. And for better quality ammo.
I just scored two bricks of Aguila standard loads locally for an even hundred.
It feels strange to say that like I'm happy about it, but I am.
My local had 333 packs of Winchester .22 last week...17.97 each...I walked by when I arrived and there were 20+ boxes....
They were gone within 45 minutes.
1k rounds for $65-70ish is pretty good right now. Darn good actually.
And that much paid for some of the worst, most barrel leading, inaccurate, unreliable ammo ever made.
8.7 BILLION rounds produced annually (all calibers and gauges) and demand is still so high someone is willing to pay $.27rd for thunder duds.
Last shortage lasted five years and even then prices were not like this. $.10-1.5rd was the high end for bulk .22's.
These prices are getting wild!

To bad Doc has not been around.
Anyway that Rem Thunderbolt is absolutely the worse 22 ammo I know of.
I keep my guns in a safe and my ammo in a cabinet.
Maybe I have that backwards....
Before I can afford to buy reloading components I will forget how to reload!
