It wasn't a bony protrusion or an embedded antler from another deer. Got pics of him with the unicorn antler gone. Also, you can see the area where the antler disengaged. I cropped the pic so it would be larger for easy viewing of the spots where he had two antlers on the left. The others are losing their antlers as well. The one I think of as the space rocket deer has lost one antler. When he had two they swept back like he was undergoing significant g force. The big 8 still has both of his. Camera batteries are on their last legs. Gotta go to town tomorrow and pick up a new 24 pack of batteries and more corn.

Wonder what his antlers will look like next year?
You should be able to identify him easy enough.
Are the first three pictures the one-eyed deer?
You should get some rechargeable batteries and a charger, that way you always have fresh batteries on hand.
First two are of the one eyed deer. Third picture is a spike that has lost one of his antlers. The "third" antler on the one eyed buck had a forward curve to it. Here is the spike with both spikes still attached.

The Power Winder F and MA Motor drive on my cameras go through AA batteries like I own the factory.
If it weren't for rechargeable batteries I couldn't afford the amount of film I use.
Try the 3100 mAH rechargeable AAs from Amazon, they're black with big yellow "X" on the side. They have good power reserve.
