Larger than life people

This weekend I had the pleasure of doing business with Kasey. She sent out Barry and Carol. What an excellent experience.

Back in the early 00's I had a small firearms shop I ran out of my parents house. The only reason I got into the entire business was because of my father who was inured. I wanted to spend time with him, but unfortunately there was not much for us, due to his injury. That was until we found target shooting. What a blast. We went all the time, probably 2 or 3 times a week. We both enjoyed it, however it was like eating one potato chip. We were addicted, in a good way! Once we bought one firearm, it turned into an epic journey a father and son bonding experience to becoming an FFL. Sadly enough, once my father passed 8-years ago it was tough for me to continue with the business. I was young, I hated doing it without him. I was in my 20's with no guidance. For the next 8-years I never went to the range again, I was sad to go without him. On the bright side over those years I spend a lot of my father and it was FANTASTIC. I would never trade it for anything. We collected firearms, and man did we enjoy it. We met some great people along the way.

Over the last year I contacted Kasey through gunbroker and she responded maybe within 30 minutes! At first I was not sure what to expect. I always remembered her posts and auctions. After speaking with her it felt like it was someone I have known my entire life. I am sure many of you have felt the same way, but this was very unique for me. I never met this person & I trusted her... INSTANTLY. Coming from NJ that is not something that comes easy (please don't judge me for living in NJ!). We made plans for her employee Barry and Carol to come all the way from Alabama to NJ to pick up my collection. Upon meeting Barry and Carol it made me instantly remember why I collected firearms in the first place. Barry had so much joy looking at everything, and when I say knowledgeable I was blown away by what he knew.

It was tough letting go, however it was a chapter in my life that I needed to move on from. I enjoyed the memories, now it's time to let someone else enjoy the firearms. I have the times with my father that is irreplaceable. That is what I enjoyed the most. The father and son time.

With that said, Kasey is one of those people that is larger than life. Through our conversations and emails, she has a very true, kind, and has this personal touch which is tough to put into words. She is helping in a way I can not express.

in regards to Barry, and Carol... these are people that you do not run into every day. What kind, kind people. I wish they could have stayed longer. They were exceptional. For one of the toughest moments of my life, they made me feel like the collection my father and I created would be well looked after and handled with care.

What great people. What a great experience. I am proud to work with them.
