Been snowing here in Wise county Texas for about an hour maybe, not sure if it will stick or not. I've had this property for 20 years and have used the tractor/front-loader to clear the road of Snow/ice twice because if I didn't me and the neighbors couldn't leave the properties without 4 X 4's which most don't have... A lot of you folks this is no big deal and I get it you're used to it. Around here we just don't see it that much, as I'm typing the snow is slowing right now and so I probably won't have to switch the hay fork to the front-loader anyways I hope you all enjoy your Sunday!

I think that is headed toward Arkansas next
we don't get much snow anymore either
Yep, we've been getting snow here in our area of East Texas for about an hour now, pretty heavy. The yard is turning white, but so far it isn't sticking on our sidewalks, driveway, or County road.
It can stop anytime now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Y’all keep that white crap down there. You’ll have summer next month.
My dad moved to southern Georgia because he never wanted to see SNOW again in his life, he didn't.
Me, I will be plowing yesterdays snow in about an hour.
I quit plowing a month ago. Said I am not plowing any more snow until it is over a foot deep. So far we have not got stuck getting in and out but I have to have some speed up to make it through the driveway with the wife's car.
I do love winter though.
He picked the right area, all we ever get is a light dusting of it and just a ugly sloppy mess afterwards.......I'm not complaining 😀

According to the weather folks we have received about 3 inches of snow, so far, here in our area of East Texas. That's enough, it can stop any time now! Here is a picture I took a few minutes ago off of our back porch down towards our woods. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

Well it turned to rain and has pretty much stopped so no accumulation here, still under a watch until 6AM but it looks like just cold which is bad enough, can't handle the cold like I could a few years ago... The snow earlier did look nice while it was here, but I won't miss it.
At this time of the year we would be grooming on 4-6 feet of snow in the Divide...Right now there is maybe 24"...Going to be a real dry summer if things don't change...

We got 3 - 4 inches in AUSTIN, TX today !!!!!! It was very wet and heavy but it's still on the ground.
THAT is unusual.
This is the most snow we've seen since we moved to this house ln Georgia 7 years ago. Its actually just sleet that we got on Christmas Eve. It didn't lay anywhere except on the deck.
we don't have much snow up here, in fact its one of the most mild winters we've had in years. I'm damn sure not complaining.
I forget the year, it was awhile ago the pan handle of Texas had more snow..quite a bit more than we did.
Ole and Sven fell troo da ice on da pond ven dey're fishin for da big uns, and woke up standin in da pits of Hell. Dey looked all around and Ole said "Uffda, we done it dis time, dontcha know!" Sven took a gulp of akkevit and yust smiled a leetle bit.
Satan walked over and said "So, how do you like your new eternal homes?! Muwahahahahahahaaaaa!"
Ole scratched himself a bit and Sven said "Vell now ya mention it, it's pretty good and varm down here dontcha know. Dis here ting is pretty nice".
Satan roared in anger and shouted "Oh yeah? Well then try THIS on for size!" and he cranked the temperature knob higher. Flames leaped all around and the demons screamed in agony.
Sven stretched and yawned and Ole pulled his sweater off and said "Yep dis here ting feels pretty good, nice and varm and cozy dontcha know, like leanin up on my best cow ven I milk her".
Satan shook with rage and all the demons cowered, and he pushed the temperature knob to it's highest setting. The furnaces roared, flames leapt to the ceiling and the cave walls shook and the demons all burst into flame and ran about. "TAKE THAT!!!! he roared, YOU'LL BURN!!!" as he cackled and laughed.
Ole grinned at Sven und said "Vell dontcha know, ve got us here a fine varm day ta go fishin. Ya tink dey got fishin here?"
Satan couldn't believe his eyes. There wasn't enough heat in all of Hell to burn these two, so instead he turned the knob all the way down. Ice began to form on the walls, frost formed on the ceilings and snow began to fall. "I'LL FREEZE YOU TWO!!!" he roared with hatred as the demons cried out in anguish.
Then he saw Sven and Ole yumping about, slapping each other on the back and cheering. He couldn't believe his eyes.
"What is WRONG with you two?! Now you're happy because it's snowing?!!!???"
Sven replied "Vell dis here can only mean vun ting dontcha know, dis here means da Vikings have Vun da Sooperbowl!"
We're desperate for some. We'd need 100 inches to get back to just average. We were and still are in "Exceptional" drought conditions, and we get 90% of our drinking water from snow. It is not looking good for summer.
