Trip to the range today......17HMR Sight in......PIC..an actual gun thread
Mid 50's here in Central MO so I figured I better head out and enjoy it as it is suppose to snow on Thursday....
Several others were around when I was there and we all had a good time talking and shooting. My main goal of the day was to sight in a Savage 93 in .17HMR for a little yote hunting. I got a new scope for Christmas which is specifically for the .17HMR so I finally had the chance to get it ready to roll.
After about 9 shots I was there and the target pictured was 3 shots into approx. 1/4" which equates to Minute of Yote for me @75 yards 😉....Hornady 17gr. V-Max ammo. There was a 7-10 MPH wind from right. I shot clay targets at 100 to 110 yards the last 20 shots....after bow season ends the 15th, I hope to get out there and call a few in....
Any one else get a chance to shoot lately ??

Both interesting looking firearms......
Fine shootin there. Well done.
nice looking guns too,,,🙂
Wow, that carbine in .22 mag or 5.7 sounds like something I might want to check out !
FWIW
I zero my 17 HMR(s) about 1-1.5" high @ 100 yards and that allows a "hold on brown" out to around 200 which is about the maximum expectation for the 17 anyway.
The only range shooting I've done lately was chasing the Gremlins out of a new AR rifle/scope/mount/ammo choice yesterday. Results weren't stellar but not everything is gold and diamonds from the start. One shouldn't expect cloverleafs from a bucket of loose, assorted headstamp ammo.
That sounds about right. The wind was kicking up a little too much as the afternoon rolled on. I will get it where it needs to be next trip out
