The misuse of the DISAGREE button
Features in this forum include a disagree button which does not identify the disagreeing party to the membership. The staff can ID the disagreeing member and a small portion of my weekly forum schedule is spent identifying those folks to the members who've been disagreed with.
First, lets be clear that disagrees do not count against a member in any way. There is no punishment for being disagreed with. Also, it is not possible for Nunn or myself to eliminate or "clear" a disagree. If this can be done at all, it can't be done at forum level.
With that said, KNOCK IT OFF. You know who I'm talking to, so just cut it out right now.
Continuing on the subject of disagrees. Disagreeing with a moderator for enforcing the forum's posting guidelines means that you are actually disagreeing with the Gun Broker rules. Don't make that mistake. Mark C.

It had to be done.

Is it ok if I just do it to Ken????
If someone has more disagrees accumulated than me, I'd be surprised. And I can't even imagine one time I ran to the mods to find out who did it.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
You do have a bunch! The bad thing is I bet you don't know the reason why they disagreed with you for most of those. My only objection to the disagree button is that it stifles discourse. To those who use it, if you disagree with me, tell my why and we can have a civilized conversation about it. With a logical discussion you might get your point across but taking the lazy way out and hitting the disagree isn't going to change my opinion. If it is only being used as a popularity contest it isn't going to make me lose any sleep because I am to old to give a crap about popularity. Bob
I have actually never used it.
Oh, no, not McManus?!?!
I have been assured that Don won't be gone for long.
