What grain bullet do you run in your 9mm EDC and why?
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

I don't care what gun. or platform it is shot in, 120TC and 124RN Grain cast. They cost less than a penny each to cast, size and shoot.
115 grain FTX Hornady Critical Defense...........because it is proven to be good.......and I have some.
147 grain Speer Gold Dots.
I prefer “heavier” 9mm bullets & they are well proven.
I also shoot 147 grn 9mm in USPSA- totally different load but I feel 147’s give a bit more of a push than snap in regards to recoil.
Suppressed, which is how I shoot most of the time, I run 147 gr. For general shooting I use 124 or 115.
Federal 147 gr HST in a G19. Very effective.
124 because it is what I have the most of
In the P95, I use 124 GoldDots and in the little Taurus, Hornady 115 XTP HP. In the 10.5" AR9 PDW, Federal 147 HST, CCI Lawman 147 flatpoint, or Win 147 HP something or other that came in a plain white box(agency over run?). Ammo for the 10.5" barrel has to be downloaded just a bit to stay sub-sonic when that feature is required. I'm hoping the new 8.3" barrel will keep the 150 grain polymer coated factory loads under 1025fps.
As bpost said , mine lives on cast boolits. 120 and 124 grains out of range scrap and wheel weights . EDC is usually an m&p shield 45. My only 9 mm is a range toy,a Star BM . Little too heavy for edc for me . Prefer my shield .
124gr HST
135 Critical Duty or 124 HST.
My wife used the critical defense in her little sig. (one of the most accurate semi pistols I’ve ever shot )
youre not tricking me into admitting I would carry a nine for self defense though !!!
That "little Sig" which I assume is a P365............is formidable.
It is actually a 320 the mid size / With 19 rounds and you can put Em where it’s aiming fast
+P+ 115 or 124gr when I can find it.
