Question. If you found yourself with a little bit of money in your pocket, let's just hypothetically say $2,000 and under the current economic situation with the firearm industry, what gun would you buy as perhaps the last trophy before the current Administration screws everything up in America?
Probably wrong choice but I'm thinking an auto Ordnance semi-auto Thompson. Also thinking something that obscure is still available.

A Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870. Barrel length does not matter choke does not matter. The gun matters in its ability to protect you and yours, shoot 50 or so yards and keep on shooting; dirt, no dirt, bird shot, slugs, buckshot or a load of toilet paper.
Bang and spray lead is AWESOME, click is bad.
I would buy silver eagles or freeze dried food at that budget..........maybe one South Af. Kruger coin..........
I'm thinking of sending a colt commander, 38 super, my edc, off to Nighthawk to be massaged.
That price point should cover it..
how can you massage a colt commander??????????? inquiring minds want to know.
Turn it into a Colt/Hawk commander.
I have one of these in a .45 govt. Want to turn a 38 super commander into one.

I am asking myself a similar question.
I am thinking Glock 21 (45acp) add a good red dot (trijicon sro) and a 460 rowland conversion kit with Johnny Glock trigger.
Well now that I wrote that out- it sounds like an excellent idea & I might just do it!
Anything imported semi auto with a detachable mag and center fire. If they do anything the first to go will be guns like AK's and such. Look what AK's are selling for now. It may be double or triple soon. Benelli shotguns could be on the list too. The Thompson is made here and is a big clunky thing, not like a real one.
At the current prices,$2000 will not go very far.
I with bpost on this.
toilet paper
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
you sir are on a “roll” with the clever punch lines lately !
Just go ahead and send me that $2000, and I'll let ya know...😁
I have wanted for a couple years and kept pushing off the purchase ( OK been brain washed into thinking I need ) a glock maybe a 17 or 19 , Ihave magazines I bought years ago with plans to get the pistol my son has a couple now do I need one no of course not I can only shoot maybe two pistols at the same time and I have that covered but like most gun nuts that beside the point LOL
now with current prices so high even on gold / silver its a hard call what would be the best safe place or return to spend the money on I would lean toward silver ( by the way I have no real world experience in such matters ) but silver seems more likely to be able to have and trade easily than a lager amount of gold in just one coin even .
now on the lighter side but no where near funny I was thinking right now 2000.00 that's what about 20k rounds of 22 lr , ball park of 2k rounds of most popular centerfire pistol rounds ball ammo 9mm /45 acp even 5.56 brass cased ammo per round if you look hard enough , ( dang I think I just talked my self into selling my ammo )
more down to earth wild guess would be long term food that stores well , ammo , batteries , well any of the normal SHTF prepper items that are trending I have been seeing suggested on the internet if things settle down its all still usable items that will filter back into daily life
A good compound bow, arrows and archery lessons.
Been craving a 10mm . Torn between a Glock and a colt . Have reload supplies except
brass so ammo not an issue . Deltas are going to stupid money but so are black plastic model 40 . So far been able to not buy one
Stocks for me, no more guns just now. I have all I want. Like that is even possible.
I've been eyeing the new Henry's with the side gate in either 35 Rem or 38-55
I have my eye on a Colt 1911A1 .45 ACP National Match for reasons unknown. It's just so pretty!
Big-a bang mo' bedda dan leetle-a bang. Yes?
The last on my list:
A nickel Smith and Wesson Model 57 in .41 Magnum with a four inch barrel.
Or maybe a Uberti lever action in 45/70.
Ammo
Actually a crossbow is looking good right now.
I can probably make some arrows.
Something I can afford to feed, that Tommy gun will burn through the ammo. Don't blame you though, I've always wanted one.
$2000.00 in Sonic Drive In coupons.
Only problem is that when they raise the minimum wage to $15/hour, they will only be worth half as much...
If I had all the basics covered, I would be looking for something with some utility and flexibility....but that is just how I look at it...
A CMMG Banshee in 9mm or .45 along with a Glock pistol that is the same caliber and uses the same magazines......
Putting cash away for the grandkids.
They are getting royally screwed and will need all the help I can give them.

Not a thing.
Little Johnny Strikes Again!
A teacher goes around in her class asking each of the kids what they need at home.
Joey says, “A computer.”
The teacher replies, “That would be very useful.”
Jenny says, “A new lawn mower.”
The teacher again replies, “That would also be very useful.”
Little Johnny pipes up and says, “At my house we don't need anything!”
The teacher asks him to think again carefully, as everybody needs something.
Little Johnny replies, “No, I'm sure that we don't. When Biden was elected President, I clearly remember my dad saying,
‘Well, that's the last @#$%^& thing we needed!’"
Funny how we all see something very bad is coming and getting ready.
