Yep, like the caption says. Southern Missouri, Northern Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma. Some of the most beautiful landscapes and sunsets on the spinning 🌎.

Loved family camping at the Ozarks when I was a kid.
Yes indeed.
I always enjoyed the time I spent there......My Dad and I trout fished in the White River during a few spring breaks while I was in high school and college...I spent a summer between my Jr. and Sr year of college working for the City of Branson driving a dump truck and working with the city crew. Wife and I honeymooned there the next year.....
Family have cabins on the Lake of the Ozarks so we enjoy time there fishing when we have a chance now...Hoping to do some traveling around the area this summer......
Wasnt too fond of Fort Lost In the Woods!
In '98 I almost bought 200 acres near the bottom of Norfork Lake.
My family had a cabin on Lake of the Qzarks I spent a lot of time there as a teenager back in the 80's done a lot of fishing for crappie and I had a nice 22' Mark Twain boat I got real good at water sking
Daughter lives in Farmington.
I'm just south of her in Alma. Spend my free time all over the Ozarks, when I'm not out west.
Seems there are quite a few of us in the area.
I never think of the Ozarks extending north of the river, nor even to Jeff City. I always think of Eldon as the northern edge. I spent 90% of my Ozarks time in Shannon County on the Current River, and fishing Bennett and Montauk. I have only been back there a few times since I left MO.
Looks like they used HWY 94 as their boundary
Yep. Way prettier than anywhere out west, especially Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Don't go being snarky.....I said some of the most beautiful landscapes and sunsets, not the only.
No snark. Trying to dissuade migration.

Who would want to move to a place where they use words like "dissuade"?
It's working! Good!

Now that is Snark!😈
snark, is that like a shark fart?????
Another word for “smarmy”.
Snark: A snide, sarcastic, or disrespectful attitude
I guess I am a snark.

Well yeah, but mostly a pretty likable snark.
You're in good company, Randy. The states you mentioned are just chock full of mean, nasty, snarky and smarmy people.
Dissuade, dissuade, dissuade!
My family and I vacationed in the Ozarks back in 1956. We drove there from northern Iowa in a 1953 Chevy. I still remember spending a night in Eureka Springs, where we got the whole bottom floor of a house, complete with bedrooms, kitchen with utensils, etc., for something like $2 a night. I suppose lodging prices have gone up since then. I still love the Ozarks as a scenic, colorful, friendly place. I get to travel through just the Joplin corner of the map twice a year en route to the Tulsa gunshow.( I wonder if that show will be held this spring after a year of being shut down by COVID. I have a very expensive table put on hold.)😉
Anybody else remember the Ozark Mt. Daredevils?
Yes indeed, have been introduced to a couple of them at parties, one of them is on the City Council of Ozark, MO..
I hope it does work. Though I’ll never see it, I want to know there’s a place in my America that hasn’t been corrupted.
Wannenmacher says there will be an April Tulsa show, but they said that for a long while about the last two. I don't look for one prior to November and certainly will not go before then. You will have to post a table number so we can come by and say hello.
Anyone remember Red Foley or Lee Mace? Hint: Ya gotta be an old fart to remember back to those two Ozark musicians.
The family went to the Ozark Opry at least 2 times a summer during the 70's. My grandmother loved that place
My wife inherited a house in Ozark Missouri several years ago. I spent several weekends and a couple of weeks making repairs to it that summer so we could sell it. I found Ozark to be a nice town with friendly people. I really enjoyed the farmer's market on the courthouse lawn. There was a bluegrass band playing in the gazebo, lots of great food, it was just a fun atmosphere.
