I know better, but over the last month or two and really picking and choosing and internet shopping prices
I have bought more ammo and magazines as in ammo in 22 lr 9mm ,45 acp ,308, 300 black out and 7.62x39 . not huge qualities but still cant resist also more ar magazines in 5.56 and 308 and a hand full or two for my m1a ( all Springfield issue ) just ordered 6 more ar mags in ss and a couple charging handles and my oldest son who last time shot any thing I can not remember brought me 4 boxes of 100 round packs of 12 ga ya there 7.5 shot but I thanked him any way oh a couple more 325 round boxes federal 22 lr
I have to go better go on the wagon and cold turkey or my wife will have my hide nailed to the barn door ,,
I think it becomes a challenge ( like the auction thread in a way ) to get the best deals during times of panic and sadly yes I know I am contributing to the mess
I have been struggling to not buy at least one or two of the inexpensive 22 pistols but if I do I will go with the ruger no darn cross bolt safety as on the rough riderit its cheaper but the safety just turns me away 😝
almost for got 😁 I also bought about a dozen + surplus ammo cans from 50 cal to " fat 50 "cal to assortment of larger ones about 40" tall the biggest ones

I'm still in the hunt for some 17, but don't have to have any particular caliber. I'm somewhat embarrassed to say how many rounds of 22 that I have acquired over the last two decades.
Yeah me too. I don't know how I let the 17hmr inventory get so low. I saw the posts about an ammunition import ban so did a ammo count yesterday. Everything else looks good and I found some stuff I had forgotten about, like 360 rounds of Remington 44 mag and a few hundred more miscellaneous 22rf, but no 17 buried anywhere. I'll wait on the 17 for one of the non gouging big dealers to get it in stock and won't pay the super inflated prices you see today. I still have about 700 rds so no big hurry. Bob
I see that Mach 2 has spiked in price and activity over the last month. I'm wondering if some of the newbies are thinking the Mach 2 will work as an alternate in their HMR.
I donated most of my stockpile of 22LR to my gun clubs boy scout silhouette shoots a few years ago. Was so heavy into muzzle loading that I didn't think I'd ever miss them.
Now I have been scrounging trades with family just to get enough to feel good and not quite there yet with only about 1500 rounds. Ehhhh! Will wait for things to clam down and hopefully buy more at retail (whatever it goes to) and get back into shooting my favorite double 9er!
