Chris is down.....I repeat.....Chris...is...down. Birthday celebration last night, brother's 50th

Last night some of us met up at a Mexican place that was not too far from his house for a birthday celebration. It was his 50th. He had some friends from his church there along with some family. He got two enormous fishbowl margaritas while we were there...they were the size of cantaloupes. The food was good and we were all having fun.

I knew a band that was playing in the area, so some of us decided to go there. I called ahead and they set up a table up front for us and when we got there they had decorated the table and even had a big sparkly b'day hat for Chris! It was fun.

The band got going....they were GREAT! The next thing I knew the whole place was singing happy bday to him and random drinks were being sent over. He was hilarious. Then, out of the corner of my eye I see this blur across the table from me. I hear someone say "Chris fell" and I bust out laughing. He had leaned his chair back and just toppled over. We decide its probably time to go....tip the band, tip the waitresses, and get out to the car where one of our buddies is waiting who decided to be the driver for the group when we left the Mexican place.

We get back to Chris' house....I decide I'm staying there for the night and I'm saying goodbye to everyone when out of the corner of my eye I see a blur go down....again....on the porch. Its Chris....he slipped on the wet welcome mat while unlocking the door. I swear, I'm laughing so hard I almost fall myself.

I stayed there with him and we went to Waffle House this morning. He was telling me he was pretty sore from his falls. It turned out there was a third one I didn't see.....poor thing. He says that is his LAST night like that.....no matter how many free drinks are tossed his way.
