This may be what you are looking for on Ebay pistol parts. Item # 143929601039
Many Thanks - but to the best of my knowledge this is not the OLD model Single-Six. The OLD model Single-Six doesn't have the 'transfer-bar-lawyer-inspired-garbage' in it. Best Regards - AQH
I may be mistaken, but I don't believe the cylinders are different between the old, and transfer bar variants.
Call Ruger.
If you haven't located this item yet, I just saw a listing on Ebay Pistol Parts (#164703253726) that is a 22 magnum "Old Model Single Six" cylinder in really nice condition according to the ad.
Many Thanks "Spyman" - I now have it on my 'watch' list. "RCrosby" - I have e-mailed Ruger - asking about inter-changeability - but they have chosen not to respond at this time. Best Regards - AQH
They are NOT interchangable. You MIGHT get lucky but most require fitting or at a minimum the proper overall length
you should readthis: http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=292644
Ruger modified some of the old models at the factory to change to transfer bar style on a safety recall
Here is another one from Ebay Gun/pistol parts - item# 154335116310
thats not a ruger cylinder
this one appears to be correct cylinder
To the best of my knowledge, the old model 22 mag cylinders were fluted.
The new models are not.
I bought what the seller thought was a old model .22 LR Single Six. turned out to be a .22 mag.
I was lucky enough that my step dad found me a old model LR cylinder. Even with that, it was just a little too long to fit.
I was lucky enough again to work where we have a awesome tool room and I was able to have the front of the cylinder turned down just a touch for it to fit.
The 22 mag old model fluted cylinder will have a "step" at the end of the cylinder while the 22 LR will be smooth all the way thru the cylinder.
If you haven't found one, contact Morgan's Gun Parts at 740-666-7411. He had one as of 5 minutes ago.
Many Thanks for the information. I have purchased one. Best Regards - AQH
