It's like a shotgun only smaller.

Might could put an eye out.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
That would sure be a fun little gun.
How much for the sparkly pink bath mat?
I have a old Stevens .410 at the back door, hidden from view through the glass. I used it recently on a feral cat that was attacking my barn cat. At 25 yards it stopped him dead in his tracks, literally. It was a HUGE cat a male with teeth so large I thought it was a lion. I estimate his weight at 17-19 pounds.
The .410 may only have 1/2 ounce of shot but that feral cat sure did not like it when hit with a load of #8's.
Anything you need to tell us NEO?

Not yet!!! LOL!🤣
Nice
My 2 .410s pattern very nicely at 50 yards. I sure wouldn't want to be hit by it at that range even.

I'll bet it brings over $2K
Pretty and I was wondering why no photos of the whole gun put together until I read your description.... somebody that wants a 410 is gonna get a very nice one.
You will do well on that one ...for sure!!! My 410 Wingmaster has taken several nice turkeys'...

Will be keeping an eye on that auction out of curiosity- I inherited my Dad's 1100 Light Field 25 years ago- it had 3 shells fired thru it when I got it.
I have several .410s- if you want to learn to be humble, go shoot a round of Sporting Clays with a .410!
Dove hunting can also be a challenge with a .410
I sure hope not. I had a .410, 28 skeet set , among several others that I sold when I needed a new car just after I got married in 1972. Of course once I got married I had to cut WAAAAY back on skeet shooting anyway. Worse yet the cost of the shells went way up sometime around then when the paper shells disappeared. I could never reload the &^%$ plastic shells as the crimps kept coming open.
It will for sure bring a surprising amount. The only change I would make if it were mine is the addition of a weighted magazine cap. My 870 410 skeet has one and it sure helps to smooth up your swing. My Winny 42s for some reason don't need any extra weight but for me the Remingtons do. Of course right now none of them are getting much use because 410 ammo is out of sight and I hate reloading 410. I do have 2 or 3 cases on the shelf but am to cheap to shoot it up.😀 Bob
Had a Mod. 42 I used for rabbits. Good Beagles ran them within 20 yards. Fun stuff.
I love it. You're going to do very well with it!
Wood, 1,000.00, gun 2,000.00 = 3,000.00
And the 375 H&H?
I am photographing it right now. I think it will go up tomorrow night.
A beauty for sure Ricci. One of my Mossbergs is in .410 but certainly nothing like yours. Some folks make fun of a .410, that is until they are on the receiving end at 50 yds.
Lovely gun. Some .410 musings...
I was enamored of the .410 at an early age when I learned that then-President Eisenhower favored one for quail hunting (a hunting President. Imagine that!) Had one as my first gun, a break-open model, make and model long forgotten.
Fast forward many decades. I acquired an Italian .45 Colt and proceeded to cobble together .410 shells it would chamber and fire. Found a Lee hand loader (a really hard thing to find) and proceeded to make 1 3/4" shot shells holding #9 pellets and a light powder charge. Imagine the looks I'd get when I drew and dropped birds in flight - my buds assuming I was shooting regular solid bullets. Oh, and that was my snake-country carry gun (the original idea). Eventually, Speer came out with .45 Colt shot loads and I stopped the tedious task of making shorty .410s.
Thats nice Ricci. It's a new gun because it has that thingy before the SSN so you can read it with a smart phone.
Cool gun, side note I was at a NRA training for shotgun instructors and the teacher asked what shotgun would you recommend for a beginner in Skeet or sporting clays. All the class said a 410.
He said why would you be so unfair to the beginner with so many less shot in the 410 as compared to the 12. Hmmm got you thinking anyway.
thats why I prefer he 28 for beginer/kids recoil about same as 410, but patterns like 20ga......
That's a fine example,,,, 🙂🙂🙂
I have a 410er Savage 18" inserted in the top barrel in my HK. Full Choke is installed in the 12 gauge. It patters well for doves out to about 30 yd. Splattered a lot of them with it.
All you guys shoot better than most of the folks I have shot skeet with. Splattering doves at 30 yards and killing turkeys at 50 yards with a .410.
My 2 cents. Starting a new shooter off with a .410 is a big mistake.
Discouragement ahead.
I worked an ambulance call, a 12 year old and his 14 year old brother were out hunting. The 12 year old was carrying a .410
He was bent over, going through a barbed wire fence, and was holding the little shotgun. The gun went off and hit his brother in the neck from 10 feet away. Dead Right There.
Probably the same result had it been a .22 short.
They make Hevi shot for a .410 so you can duck and goose hunt with one. 3" MAG with 13/16 oz of heavi shot.................hell ya
What kind of sick * commie would take a .410 shotgun into a duck blind????? Maybe John Kerry.
A buddy of mine bought a Remington 870 "Turkey" in .410...The special heavy shot were ...$5.00 per round!!! Well before all this panic BS...
Both my son and daughter learned to shoot a shotgun with the .410 Wingmaster and could break clays out to 70 yards...

I hope no one mixes me up with you. "70 YARDS"? I don't know hoe the 2 was added but my screen name was Gruntled because I am retired & no longer a disgruntled mailman. I still have a Savage model 30f .410 I had bored out to skeet choke over 50 years ago. I used to love it when I could get someone to give me a handicap & bet their fancy high priced over/under could beat me. I bought a Mossberg 500 skeet .410 & quickly went back. Then the 1100 .410 & 28 set & still no better than my old beater. BUT 70 YARDS?
These boys have some broken measuring sticks. At that rate a decent 12 ga. would be a good 250 yard turkey gun.
I started out on an old H&R single shot 410.
I think it's a perfect chambering to teach kids.
It taught me to wait for a good shot, not just pump off rounds.
That's what I started out with as well.
I remember almost 60 years ago the old timers claimed the .410 was an expert's gun. I found you also had to be close.
I shot my first deer with a Mossberg pump 410. Using slugs turned that ole gun into a very versatile game getter!
About a month ago I was going through all of my stored away ammo. Found several boxes of those 410 slugs. Not so much loaded in shot unfortunately.
