Looks like not much left from poor storage. Hard to tell from the picture but what are the 4 guns? To me it looks like an Uzi, Mac 10, AR 15 and a AK 47.

This would be one instance in which a plastic Glock would be far superior to a metal pistol!! 😂
This begs the question.....what is the law in such a situation? Involving the police is probably wise, in case they are stolen. In most instances, however, the police take "found" guns and that's it....gone forever. Say you found one and wanted to keep it, though. What would be your rights to do so?
Assuming they were not an illegal type of firearm, I would probably inquire about their status without just blindly blindly giving up what could be a valuable find or interesting wall hanger.
If I dug 'em up on my property, they're mine.
somebody needs a lesson on how to cache weapons.
Why was somebody planting a tree in the inside corner of a block wall? Something doesn't add up.
And shush...…..😉
The dumbest place to bury something that you intend to keep in reasonable condition is on a drip line near a building!
I read stories all the time about somebody finding a stash of old coins worth big $$ while working in their gardens or plowing a field and losing their find to the authorities.
The best way to keep something is to never tell anyone that you found it!

+1
But they have to go to faceBRAG and post a close up picture of their face and brag about what they have found and/or are doing. People on vacation for example posting pictures and info then come home and wonder why their house has been robbed.
Adds new meaning to the term dumb and dumber.
I'm going to have to stop saying how stupid can you get, people take it as a challenge.
The barrel on that AR looks to be shorter than 16".
I was thinking the same thing. The other rifle appears to be a Galil in 5.56 and you can see the longer 35 rd mag right above it. The MAC 10 and the Mini Uzi are kind of rusty but would probably clean up and shoot fine or at least as good as they used to.
They rusted up? I thought it was a "dry heat" out West.
Back in the mid 80's while working as a Deputy Sheriff in East Texas I found a plastic rifle case sitting on the side of the road while on patrol. Inside the case were two really nice shotguns. Dove season had recently started, and I figured the case must have fallen off a hunters vehicle.
I logged them into the property room as found property, and was told by my Captain that after a period of time if they were not claimed, and and were not stolen, that I could claim them.
I began to get get a bit excited about it, but before I left the station someone had called & claimed them...😐️

It is, but they were in the soil not in the dry heat.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Yea,....I thought Galil also. That's one I have never owned.
The guns should be turned over to the cops so they can see if they can find any crime usage or if they have been stolen. If everything checks out OK, then the finder should get them back, provided that they are legal to own. But I really doubt that will happen.
No theory on why someone was planting a tree in the spot in the picture?
This doesn't add up.
Article also states they were planting in the corner of the fenced in yard. The brick wall you see may in fact be a fence, or the base with a fence above.
and do what with a bunch of rusted junk?
That stuff will all clean up and work just fine.
It's Arizona. Depending on the hood Most "fences" are brick wall like that. Not like fly over states..
A co-worker about 12 years ago give or take found a bag beside his garden shed ( he lived in town ) in the bag ( I am guessing a trash bag ) was a sig mosquito and a mosin nagant ( he had no idea but we figured it out in the long run ) and ammo . he called the local law as soon as he found them . the town he lives in does have a high crime rate so he was worried the owner or who ever hid them would come knocking
any way the sheriff dept came and took the guns and ammo , they told him, I think it 30 days maybe 60 no claims were made they were his ( I told him kiss them good by LOL ) but sure enough when time was up they called him he picked them up less the ammo for what ever reason they kept the ammo . but he did get the rifle and pistol .
any way his wife said no guns in my house, no if ands or butts about it he told me he would have liked to kept the pistol . but to keep peace it was yes dear , he had a family member that worked at a gun shop and sold them to him
I was shocked he got the guns back and no one had reported them stolen or missing .
So, I don't care what part of the country you're in. If you plant a tree against a block wall like that, in a few years you will have a pile of rubble, instead of a wall.
The galil is a great rifle. I have shot several in 5.56 and 7.62. The South African R4 is a version of the Galil and I ran into many of them in Africa.
I would bet all those guns would clean up and shoot fine, they may not look all that great though. I have seen guns that looked like complete junk shoot just fine. I have seen AKs that were so abused and rusty you would not believe it, some were even lubricated with sheep fat and most ran fine. The magazine is what you have to be concerned with. It is the weak link in any magazine fed weapon.
It's no wonder they didn't sprout, they were planted too close together. 😁
