From Facebook....
My wonderful, beautiful husband of 29 years passed away last night. He died of pancreatic cancer. My heart is broken. Thank you to everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. If you have any special memories of Al (or Frank as you may have known him) feel free to send them to me at sherrillatimer@gmail.com. (I rarely look at FB so a posting here will probably go unread.) He will be missed but never forgotten.

Prayers.
I always enjoyed his posts but I particularly enjoyed his pics of his extensive handgun collection. RIP Doc.
Sad news, thanks for posting. Do you have a link to facebook?
I am deeply saddened. We all suspected that his health was in decline, but this news is hard to accept. May years ago, Doc- who I still called Saxon Pig, sent me this novelty M1 pen:
There was no reason for the gift, Doc simply said that he saw it in a shop and thought I might like it. I did like it, and I kept it. Now I'll treasure it. RIP Saxon Pig.

Rest in peace, Doc. Always enjoyed your posts and the pictures you shared of your wonderful firearms collections.
Say hi to Capt. Midnight and all the others who have gone on ahead for us.
He was a wealth of knowledge...I loved all the hobbies he had, martial arts, historical reenactments, his cars, old motorcycle and the story of when he first got it. He LOVED his wife and he posted about how impressed he was with her, even after years of marriage. He was an amazing person.
I always enjoyed his post very much. Rest in Peace Doc.-----------------Ray
RIP Frank.....AKA Doc.....I too will always remember him as Saxon Pig....He was one of the guys that popped up here about the time I did. Very Interesting gentleman, I always enjoyed his posts.
Prayers for his wife and loved ones.........
IIRC he was a moderator when I joined the forum.
RIP Frank.
Rest in peace Doc. The world is a little bit poorer with your passing. You will be missed. Prayers sent. Bob

Very smart guy and great writing skills. Early on he was one of my favorite members as the guy was very interesting. RIP Saxonpig....
Sad to hear, wanted to meet Frank and tried to catch him at a show in LR a time of two, but never connected.
RIP Frank.
Intelligent person and enjoyed to read his posts on various subjects. The IQ of the planet tilted down a nudge now.🙁
Shock to hear, forgot about his problem. Prayers lifted.
Dammit.
He was a great mentor over the years & I would say we were friends. I didn’t really keep in touch outside of the boards once I moved to Florida.
You will be missed sir.
Say hello to our mutual friend Waylon.
RIP Saxon Pig. Always a good post.
One of the most respected people this forum has had. If there was such a thing as a virtual wake, GUNBROKER forum members would be lined up around the block.
Really hurts to learn this sad news. RIP Doc.
RIP Doc
Sad news indeed, God speed sir.
Sad news. We'll miss you, Doc.
Sad, sad news. Doc was a heck of a guy. I count myself privileged to have met him and visited with him in his home, long ago.

I loved Saxon Pig's contributions to this forum. A great guy who I will miss dearly. I hope and pray his family can find comfort at this time and I am also glad he's no longer suffering from such a horrible disease. Thank you for sharing this LF.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
