Auction report: everything I wanted for myself went well above market value, but I managed to bring a few home. 1st up is the ugly, Winchester 1300 NWTF. 2nd up is the pretty, a Remington 870 Wingmaster Classic Trap 12 gauge with some beautiful wood, it was the steal of the auction. Next up is a Remington 700 in 30-06. And last but not least is a Remington 760 Gamemaster in .243, Not a bad haul, but not what I wanted.

I would love to have the barrel off that 1300, been looking for a short barrel for over ten years. I have a 28" VR and can't stand it.
Being how the Winchester is so ugly I will hide it for you in my safe
You wouldn't want it, Winchester painted these models glossy black, won't hold up to any kind of use.
i have bought a couple of shotguns just to get a barrel. swap the barrel with my gun and resell. all in all i have never paid a difference near as much as people ask for just the barrel.
That 760 will get you some coin as should that trap. imo
Yeah the 760 should do pretty good, and that trap should do really well...people just weren't paying attention when that one sold.
Of those 4 the one I'd be most inclined to keep would be the 1300. Be a good truck gun, barn gun, boat gun, use it abuse it and throw it when it's empty gun. Give it just enough love so it functions. I think I read once that those were one of the few shotguns that would run the Aguila Mini shells without modification.
I had never heard that about the Mini shell in a 1300 but since I have a 1300 XTR real close by and knew I had some Mini shells down stairs, I went and gave it a try and yes it does, I ran 7 Mini shells through twice no hang ups at all
Nice....BUT you are going to need a bigger safe soon !!!!! 🙂
Very nice
I really like the 870 but current markets will keep me away I have a true fondness for the 870 wingmasters
the Remington 700 I bought a new one around 1976 or so 30-06 bdl wish I had kept it maybe 20 rounds went down the barrel at the time car parts I broke every weekend took priority so the rifle was sold . I think back then it was just over 350.00 ? new
Buying to sell makes you a dealer. If you have no FFL, I would not post that here.
Gotcha, I'm just a hobby buyer then. 😁
Would love to have the 243, its a favorite cal of mine
If it doesn't get any attention locally it will be hitting the auction side soon.
You and me both brother. I do my selling with Locust Fork.
