I'm calling it a firearm injury. Pulled or torn hamstring. X-rays showed nothing broken. MRI scheduling is prolonged so don't know the extent of muscle damage. I heard a "pop" and then a lightning bolt shot from my hip to my toes. Almost passed out from the pain.

#2 and #3 were visiting and had brought the boys, one five year old and two who are two years old. Toys everywhere on the floor. Stepped over a nerf gun in the kitchen. Turned around and stepped on it. Nearly 60 year old peeps should not attempt the splits, but this one did.

Thigh is still swollen and I did it on Sunday. Lateral movement attempts result in the same lightning bolt sensation. Going to see what my regular doc suggests I do as follow up.
