Ugly Glocks

I just read another post where some yahoo is talking about how ugly a Glock is. It looks so bad, no walnut grips, no shiny blue metal.
I have never bought a single one of my Glocks cause they were pretty. Some of you folks are completely missing the point of a defensive handgun. You ain't supposed to bring it to show and tell.
And if I do have to show it to someone, I won't care if he thinks I have a pretty gun.

Agree, they sure ain't no show gun, but serve their purpose well. If only they came with better sights for my eyes...
Dead on. No one would buy a Glock as a Texas BBQ gun. But that Glock will outshoot, with less failure to feed issues, that fancy engraved work of art.
I would really love to have one them pretty engraved BBQ pieces though!! 😁
A Glock is fine, so long as it no longer looks like a Glock:
They do. My serious Glocks wear TRUGLO fiber optic/tritium night sights. They glow day and night and I can see them and my eyes aren't that great anymore. They aren't cheap but they are the best for tired eyes, and I have installed hundreds of sets of night sights.
TRUGLO TFX Pro Tritium and Fiber Optic Xtreme Handgun Sights for Glock Pistols
Only thing I have associated with a glock are the mags for the Ruger PC 40. Other than that. No way.
Gonna have to check those sights out. What do you recommend for a trigger upgrade?
Agree Ricci. I run /'em on both my G19's (Work and CC). Also just put a set on my older G23. I was getting deeper into my 9mm stash, have a ton of .40 just sitting on the shelf and upgraded new set of sights on the G23 to facilitate more practice time. These work great!
You have to have night sights on a Glock because nobody wants to be seen with one in the daylight! Don
Leave the damn trigger alone. If you are playing games then go ahead and change all the little pins and springs and crap. If you are talking about a gun to bet your life on then leave it alone. The only thing I have ever seen break on a Glock trigger is the little return spring and you can shoot the gun without it if you have too. Spend the trigger money on ammo and learn to shoot the gun.
I've tried them a few times just never cared for them. The Glocks would the first I would offer for trading as far as bottom feeders I prefer the old 3 Rd gen Smiths
Mark are those as much fun as they look like they are?
New sights, trigger, Wolf barrel. Gen 1,2,3,4,5...
Perfection!
Don't forget the new frame, new slide, all new springs, new stocks...
..."Point of a defensive gun"....?? Is there something I've missed as to why a "Defensive gun" can't look good too? I've carried a SS Colt Commander 45acp everyday for over 20 years. Yes, I think it looks good, but MORE importantly it shoots a big 230grn slug and fits my hand. If it's considered ugly, I could care less as I don't carry it for the way it looks, I carry for stopping power and reliability...😉
....Grrrrrr......dang GB site doesn't recognize this new computer. I'm "Colt" the moderator...starting over on post count and have no mod privileges, yet...waiting on GB to straighten all this out,...might be waiting awhile....😁
[grn]Who the heck is
CaptColt?[/grn]I have a very similar set-up and I think it's kind of attractive. 🙂 If it's good enough for the Israeli's, it's good enough for me.
He's special. Special bus, special class. Special gun, special bullets. Just what we need.
"Who the heck is
CaptColt?"...someone whos been around here for 20+ years....No "special" anything at the moment smart *...but I have a good memory,......😉
1911’s are alot like Harley’s.
They are big, loud, usually look good, but most importantly if they are going to compete- they always need their own division because they don’t stand a chance against their modern counterparts.
NO HE DIDN’T.
