I am really curious how these will perform when towing and hauling and what that does to the range.
For example, a Tesla Model S can run a 10 second quarter mile when placed in Cheetah mode.
To do that it takes a massive amount of juice and a few pulls will empty the battery.
Whats a 5-7,000 lb trailer do to the battery range of these trucks?
They've got enough electrical gremlins now, who the heck wants more ? maybe a "green yuppie"trying to impress their friends.....Yes, I own a Silverado but it calls the dealers shop home, hopefully one day mine. 😡

Electric is going to cost more than gasoline with the power stations,,, just remember what I said
Depends on how long the extension cord is
Wouldn't own a Chevy after what they took from the American people.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
might buy a couple ..like a locomotive engine.. just hook them together.
heard on the news this morning, GM is going all electric by 2035, wonder if ford and dodge will cave.............
Ford already has an electric Mustang and F150
Unless we get some chip manufacturing back in the US there is not going to be any truck manufacturing. I heard that Ford is shutting down two F150 plants for two weeks because they have no chips.
Crap like that is the reason I'll always own at least one vehicle with a distributor, points, condensor and coil. With a $75 battery it will get me to where I want to get 😊

I'm sure Joe's workin on that. You know, creating more good union jobs in America.
In 15 years you will be giving away any gas vehicle, no matter how expensive. There will be no gas, but on the upside the Arabs will be drowning in their worthless oil.

Probably more targeted to the "pansy wagon truck" crowd than to the folks who really use a pickup.
I like to think of electric vehicles as coal powered, remit emissions vehicles. They are not zero emissions like the hype.
ice cold batterys will not do in the cold zones
I will keep my direct fossil fuel powered vehicles, thank you very much.
Of course 20 years from now the next generation will not understand why we are attached to vehicles that need oil changes, spark plugs, exhaust systems, etc...
I guess it is all about what you are used to and what you expect out of a vehicle. Bob
Just put a couple gas powered generators in the bed to charge the battery. Sheez, do I have to think of everything?
Until they start putting little radioisotope thermal generators in cars, there will be no real "zero emissions" vehicles. RTGs have been powering the Voyager spacecraft now for 30+ years, and more just landed on Mars in the Perseverance vehicle. Electricity and heat for 30 years in a suitcase.
