Well I played yesterday. New course, it was fun and I didn't do too bad.
Well, you like it or not. Kind of like possum shanks on the kabob. The Masters is taking off and if you have ever been there, there is no place so beautiful as Augusta.
Have not played this year yet. Have a trip planned the first week of May to golf.
Been so long since I played I forgot the combination to my locker!
The Masters and Augusta are a great organization.
Cancel it because of a voting law.........................Nope I don't think so.
No commercials unless you allow women....................well I guess we will be commercial free.
The Masters and Augusta are a great organization.
I liked what Chairman Ridley said when asked what he and the club were going to do about the new GA voting access enhancement law:
'I don’t think that my opinion on this legislation should shape the discussion'.
Brad Steele
They do allow women now. Have for years. Condoleeza Rice is a member, and there are others. Augusta National is not only the arguable best golf course in the world, but they are a huge part of the city of Augusta. They are revitalizing the former poorest section of town in much the same way as East Lake GC transformed their side of Atlanta.
I was lucky enough to go there in 2018, and it is indeed indescribably perfect. There's no lesser word applicable. the course and everything attached to it are PERFECT to the smallest detail. (My local golf pro claims he once dug up and kept as a singular souvenir, a weed he found there. A (repeat: one) weed.)
I remember when shooting in the 80's was a good round. Then shooting in the low 90's. Then breaking 95. And now🙄
I played this morning. I will gladly admit that our course is nowhere near as hard as Augusta, but I shot a 77 and hardly cheated at all, LOL!
Always loved the Masters for the birds singing in the background. Tried to see how many of them I could identify.
My favorite club is my 'foot wedge'!
Until you guys have experienced the Bering Sea Ice Classic golf tournament, you haven’t lived.

I had a VW Golf in the mid 90's........
Actually looking forward to playing a round with my son is a few weeks....
Golf is the greatest soporific in the world.
Teeing off at the Bering Sea Ice Classic, that's the Nome National Seasonal Forest in the distance, people hammer their Christmas trees into the ice.
with the blood thinners I am on, I don't hardly go outside if its under 50, let alone play golf!!!!!
I was always surprised at all the birds singing with all the crowds of people milling about until I realized it was just a recording added to the broadcast for "atmosphere" !
Killjoy!!😁
Our Monday golf league starts in 3 weeks 😀😀
Golf=a nice stroll ruined! My Dad, Mom, and Brother loved it, me, I just never enjoyed it even after lessons from the club pro for 6 months. My Mother was the women's club champ for 7 years in a row.
One of my most memorable trips was with 7 friends golfing in Ireland. The caddies REALLY made it fun. Have a cap from all 6 courses we played.
I would think the orange balls would be easier to find, imo.
Yep they are, but it's surprising how easy your eye picks up ANY color when it's all white from horizon to horizon.
