Saw the orthopedic surgeon on Tuesday for my first post-op follow up. He said I was healing nicely. He was a little surprised. I have been rewarded by getting to use only one crutch and putting as much weight on my leg as I can bear.
I do have to continue to wear the brace holding my leg at a 40° angle. The best part is, I can now take it off when I sleep. Woohoo!! I start PT on Monday.

Good to hear.
Great news!!!
Great news
Is that the "evil" gun that disabled you?
They must be outlawed if it is.🙃

Until you have had to wear one these torture devices, you have no idea what a celebration it is to take it off before bed! Get well soon Susie! and no happy dancing when you take that thing off. 😀
At least you are at your home!!
Is there anything more uncomfortable than a hospital bed??
I am so glad you are on the mend!
Keep getting better.
Great news!
Nice toe paint.
Going thru pt myself twice a week due to knee replacement. It hurts but I know the only way to get full use of leg is to push it past the limits . Hang in there , It will get better
PT is agony, but do everything that your physical therapist orders.
Glad to hear your over the hump and on the way back.
Lost a whole riding season to one of those braces and the associated recouping a couple summers ago. Hang in there and hit therapy hard!
Glad all is going well with your recovery Susie! You mentioned you are using only one crutch.
The nerf gun will work well for a splint but I don't recommend it for a crutch! 😁
I was wondering how you painted the nails on the left foot.😁
Got the toes done professionally before the surgery. Couldn't reach them with the tear and knew there would be no way I could reach them after.
Didn't want to have tree climbing equipment in a few weeks.
