Serial # Help on Belgian Browning 22 *updated*

I've tried entering it into the Browning search and it doesn't come up, I've looked at the 22 semi-auto chart and it doesn't seem to match any of the formats. Any help on a year of manufacture would be great. TIA

The obvious answer is 72 BUT for the life of me I don't recall Browning's putting a serial number in that location of the receiver. Course, I lost my mind at least part of it some years ago.
Plus I think the T should be at the back. Someone stamped it on?

Serial number format matches a Miroku, Japan Browning. Of course those did not start till 74. Look at the butt plate where the loading rod comes out. Any numbers?
Definitely says Made in Belgium on the barrel, no numbers on the butt plate.
Called Browning today and they said it is a 1972 model and that their web based dating chart isn't that accurate.
