auction side/bidding question....

Buddy of mine, who is a registered user is wanting to bid on a shotgun on the auction side, and can't seem to do it. So just to see what happened, I bid on it, and got the same error message from gb, stating that I am not eligible to use the payment method associated with the item. Weird thing is that the auction doesn't have any payment method listed, but there are bids on the item. Messages to the seller have been sent, but they don't seem reply to them. Any help would be appreciated.

One thing to note is that all of the other items the seller has for sale has payment methods listed, and this one doesn't. Not sure if that makes a difference since others have bid on it. TIA..

Says Gunbroker pay for method. Have to be set up to use it I suppose.
Does it show that when you go there?
When I look at the auction on a PC it doesn't show a payment method listed.
Are you looking at it on a phone?
As shootuadeal stated, Gunbroker Pay is listed under payment methods and I believe you would need to sign up for it before you can bid.

I looked at it on my PC. It does not show a payment method for me.
I ran into the same problem on a couple items and their payment method was for USPS money orders should've had nothing to do with the GunBroker check out system
Just looked from my PC and it lists GB pay as the only method, and you do have to sign up to use that method.

Phone or PC, neither one shows a payment method for me. It does show the gunbroker pay on my phone, but it looks more like an advertisement sine it's below the "research this gun" advertisement. There is nothing listed next to the payment methods. Thanks.

I think that's the problem, GB won't let either him or his friend bid on it since they aren't set up for Gunbroker pay.
Well then, it's official! We've finally simplified things to the point that we can't get anything done...

At least you can bid. I got a whole bunch of other account email notices, and shortly after my account no longer lets me bid. I have submitted 2 tickets (one for all the emails being sent to my address, and later one for my account after I found that out). It has been 6 weeks+ and not even so much as a peep. I have now missed 5 items I would have bid on. Two I would have bought (almost at any price). I have updated the tickets to make sure they know it is still an issue. Anyone else know another avenue to pursue? I am not trying to get banned, so won't say more than that. I do still get sales emails, and an email that my gold membership is up for renewal in a month but I haven't been able to do a thing. Suggestions?
