Rare 1987 Buick GNX muscle car driven just 262 miles sold for $205,000 | Fox News
It ain't your grandads Buick, unless of course you had a really cool grandad. Growing up in Buick Town, I always wanted one of these. When I was a kid I had friends with fast Buicks like the GS and GSX models that I thought were cool. Then they came out with the, at the time, revolutionary Grand National. Holy smokes, a 6 cylinder that would beat the massive 455 in the older GS. The Grand National had a great run and culminated its run with the GNX. The GNX would slay any and all domestic production cars in 1987.
Those days are long past and my dream of ever owning one will probably never come true but if I had an extra 200k laying around....😀 Bob

Someone really wanted it.
My Dad had a Grand National- I only vaguely remember it, but I do remember years later if you brought it up, he would point out the speedometer only went to 85mph which was totally inadequate!
I seem to remember DEA bought some of the Buicks.
A 1987 Muscle Car is an Oxymoron 🙂
"Incredibly, the Buick GNX was able to blitz the quarter-mile run in 12.7 seconds at 113.1 mph"
Comparable to the 2021 Mustang Shelby and about a second and a half slower than the new Corvette. Not bad for 1987. Bob
