We had snow flurries mixed with rain Friday morning. A long week of cold cloudy days here in northern lower Michigan. Morning temps have been hard freezes with temps in the upper 20's for several days now. It is currently 27 degrees as I write this.
I never plant a garden until June 1 and many times get frost burnt even then!
Traveled through a pretty fair snow storm yesterday between Ten Sleep and Buffalo Wyoming across Powder River pass to watch Grandson ride at a PRCA Xtreme Bullriding event in Buffalo, several feet of snow still on top the mountain.
When we came back across last night about 22:00 it was 21 degrees and had some slick spots that would sneak up on you.
FWIW, He bucked off, but a kid we know Ruger Piva from Challis Idaho won all the marbles.
Our local thermometers hit 80 and above for the first time this year! Spring is always a very short season for us. From the freezer to the oven is normal.
26 degrees and 5+ inches of snow this morning. Turned off/drain down the lawn sprinkler system, and turned on the roof & gutter heat cable. Springtime in the Rockies.
What's your elevation there, MJ? We're right at 4000 feet and didn't have anything stick but I can see fresh snow on the mountain maybe 1000 feet above us.
it was a weird weather morning. got up about 2:30am playing on the internet had been raining heavily most of the night, looked outside about 4:30 and the ground is covered with 1 inch of snow. big wet floppy flakes. an hour later another wave of heavy rain and wind, snow was melted completely

Not snowing now, but we do have a winter storm warning for the week end.

It's dropping a very wet snow right now. Splashing snowflakes. It's sticking about 200' above the house.
It snowed on the mountain again this morning.
Yep, we're getting it too.

Spitting snow and mid 30’s here in western Montana today
Hit 87 here today after weeks with highs being in the 60's. Hard on an old body to get slammed with summer overnight.
You ain't old. 60 is the new 30, or so I've been told. (Sure doesn't feel like it after a day of hanging sheetrock!)
yeah, the day after hurts a LOT more than the day of.............
