Another unfunded gift. Got a letter today from the VA, forgiving all Co-pays back to April 2020

I already paid mine so in effect it was a letter telling me I was getting a refund of the co-pays which in my case is fairly significant due to all the cancer treatment/surgery Etc.
I'm not a fan of adding debt to our already over burdened system but I sure took the Stimulus money and I always try to use the tax code to my advantage so I guess this is no different.
Either Future Generations will rue the day we were born or someone is going to get a hair cut on US Debt someday.
Why don't we go to school and work on the weekends and take the week off!

good news, take the wife on a waterfall trip and enjoy yourselves...
Under Trump, the number of employees at the Dept of Veterans Affairs increased by 13% ------ the greatest increase of all federal agencies. I never realized that he was doing so much to help needy veterans.
I wonder how long it will take Joe the Puppet & his Marxists to reverse that.

Mogley, it’s the least they could do for you guys.
I appreciate it but they really don't owe me anything.
I signed up voluntarily and served my time Honorably (if you can call spending most port calls chasing woman and booze serving honorably LOL) it is a wonderful gesture and considering the other give away's not totally out of order but unexpected for sure. And to be fair this one is tied to Biden's big spending bill not President Trump's.
Feel no guilt of the refund. They over charged you to begin with. You served, you earned.
The problem is all the new positions were hired at VA Central Office in Washington DC. The hospitals didn't get them.
