RIP sir.......I used a lot of his magazines over the years...never had an issue with any of them..
RIP
Damn. RIP Chip.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
...VERY well known for his " McCORMICK FACTORY RACER" 1911 ...they were hard chrome (not bright) with custom everything...made in collaboration w/Colt Custom Shop...I think only 500 or a 1000 were produced...I own an all factory original...#237...beautiful gun...
....Mr McCormick, you will be missed... you definitely left your mark...he was a FANTASTIC USPSA shooter, and pistol smith LEGEND...RIP sir...
+1
Great guy he will be missed. RIP
Odd that no one seems to know or say how he passed three days ago.
RIP sir our loss for sure.
Maybe it will be in the real obit. RIP
may the range always be sunny and the ammo endless...
I have had a pair of his, slim, 1911 grips on my Gold Cup, since Day !, around 2005. Never had any problems with bushings or anything , except gun. Never could figure the luck of seeing them in the States biggest GS and for only $14 or so. RIP Sir.
RIP
sad to hear ,
R.I.P. Chip.
He was an awesome shooter / competitor and a first class gunsmith /designer / business man.
He was just coming into the competitive world about the time I was starting.
To say I took a back seat to his shooting skills is an understatement, I wasn't even in the same car !!!!!!!
Rest in peace, Chip.
