It Works 😉
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

in your hand 😁
Nice
If by "works" you mean it sprays water every where, yes, it appears to.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Ahhh, you're confusing spraying water everywhere, with tinsel stapled to the top.
Easy mistake
Weird.

Is anyone gonna tell him the ice costs more than the electricity to run an actual ac unit??
Is the ice in containers, or are they adding a bunch of humidity to the air? I would prefer a dry 80° to a humid 75°. But to each their own. I suppose someplace like the western states that have almost no humidity, adding some would be good. Here in Michigan, not so much. Bob
That sure wouldn't work in Indiana - NM or AZ probably.
😀
points for DIY and effort
but I will only add same basic idea been around for decades and I am sure there is countless versions of a fan with water / ice being circulated in front of it .
as for the tinsels where I use to work they would have strings attached to some vents in whinner areas to prove air was circulating LOL
Nice but BTU's is BTU's in a HVAC system you move BTU's from one place to another.
Regular ice or dry ice?
It slows the movement of the air down to make the fan less effective.

I remember as a kid Sears dept store would have some of the display AC window units blowing with tinsel attached to them.
Our lower/walkout level is always cooler in the summer & warmer in the winter (thanks to a wood stove.) So I cut a hole in the bottom of the main floor air return & installed a vent. When I want cool or warm air to the main floor, I open the vent & put it air handler fan on circulate.
