Last night I got to see a long time friend of mine. We've been best friends since I was 5 years old (and he was 4). If you've got pics of you and your long time buddy/ies, post them on up!
Some will die in hot pursuit
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain

Here I am with my favorite hunting partner with her first deer, when she was 8.
She's 13 now.
Real friends are a truly wonderful thing!
Wish I could...
I see you drove one of those Chev's that's so fast it can outrun it's paint. Got one myself.
My best friend Gerhard (Gerry) and Hunting Partner for 55 years on the left. Berlin trained Tool Maker for the last over 20 years at IBM R&D. Escaped the Communist Sector in Berlin . Came to this country for a fresh start and served in heavy weapons platoon in Germany in US Army. We climbed a lot of mountains in the Adirondack Forest Preserve together. Buried him in the Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY in February. I miss him terribly.---------------------Ray
My daughter and I.......don't know why it's rotated 90 degrees.
I will say my wife she has stuck by me and supported me thru good and bad times ( 42 years married and about a year and 1/2 before that ) she took our wedding vows serious 😉 toss in my two sons who have been great from day one
not to drag down a good post and many great stories nothing like having a best friend(s) to share lifes moments with I have to say sadly all my best buddies from many years ago and we were like brothers more than friends even my real brother have all passed on . I think of them often and how lucky we were to made it as far as we did ( a terrible thing , cancer took all of them )
but I do have my 4 legged dog buddies , unconditional love who truly help make my days fun and some times frustrating LOL
Love that picture!
How could you resist?
Great picture Brookwood. I sure miss my Bullmastiff's. I hope your buddy got a bite.
Thanks guys for your nice comments about my old pal "Archie" 🙂 That was a very nice day at the park back in 2014. Archie enjoyed sharing my lunch often. He passed on a June evening in 2016 and left a big hole in our family's heart.
Although such a broken heart may never fully mend, I have found that having another Golden in the family does wonders for keeping that special spirit alive!
That old song comes to mind as I write this, "Time and love everybody, time and love
Nothing cures like time and love" 🙂
Time always has a way of taking care of itself. Here is the LOVE part ^^^🤗
speaking of lost buddies
I was in the back yard visiting my old buddies and trimming the grass around there markers ( big rocks ) we miss them all .
we will be going to the local cemetery's over the next week to visit family and old friends resting in peace hopefully smiling down on us , getting old is great but brings heart aches with it
4 of us who have been friends since elementary school rented a Cabin outside of Boise a few years back- really fun catching up.
& Boise is a beautiful area. This thread got some texts going to plan another trip- we are talking about New Mexico next spring.
THANKS!
Im the guy in the red shirt- It turns out none of us grew up to be photographers😀
