just re glued my tractor seat to its pan. duck tape is holding it together until the glue dries.

wire coat hangers were the city kids bailing wire π from exhaust systems to car tags to use as filler rods when welding
some times it comes down use what what you have
I have found the "gorilla" brand duct take the best so far by the way
wire coat hangers - great for "lost keys" ... a Valet car lot staple !
Unless you have a Japanese car- THEN you need a Japanese coat hanger- and they are hard to find.
yeah there to short to reach the door locks...............
just buy a synthetic one, they are rated for all cars and even a few motorcycles...........
I kept a bunch of worn out farm equipment running with duct tape ,baling wire and coat hangers as brazing rods . Fact i learned to oxy / acetylene weld usin g coat hangers .
Wow, I thought I was the only one to use coat hangers for welding back in the '60's. Mom never did figure out where all her coat hangers went.

Baling wire and seagrass string. My farm is built on it. Still finding caches of it in the barn, still using it. Appears that it lasts forever.
My dad also used coat hangers. 'Metco' wants too damm much for welding rods.
If you don't want it to move, use ducK tape.
If you want it to move, use WD-40.

This is the first I ever heard of using wire coat hangers.

I also learnt to weld with oxy/acetylene and coat hangers on mufflers/glass packs...early 70's. Later in the ARMY I took a welding class at night school.
