Subway worker falls asleep on sandwich

Jim your link took me to the one before this one is what you wanted I believe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EoQC0kJ3m7U
I have eaten at Subway three times . Never been impressed with their offerings
Subway---eat fresh.....wonder if Jared is still eating fresh.?
The story doesn't, in itself, dissuade me at all. Isolated events rarely do.
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
I don't eat that crap. Only place in the entire world that can baking bread stink.
There are other "sub" places that I'd much prefer, but I'd take a Subway over a Chipotle's Hepatitis Factory any time.
good place for a vegitable sammich
I make sure they are awake
Maybe the poor girl was just tired. At least she has job.
Yup, and probably was working a lot of hours to make up for all the lazy govt. dole collectors that refused to go back to work. Bob
I don't eat @ Subway. If I want a bologna sammich, I can get a better one somewhere else.
I trust the 2 local Subways. They're owned by a local man. He's in both of them all the time & is a worker himself.
At least you can see them make your food. If it is not up to standards then toss the food and move on. In that case just walk out and let them have their nap. Worse case of food poisoning I ever got came from a Costco pizza. Didn't see that one coming.
My wife and I have not eaten away from home since this china crud started. And I don't miss it at all. We even make our own deep dish pan pizza. I don't see any reason to eat out again.

The US may be the most germophobic nation on the planet. Nowhere else are people so obsessed with hygiene and sanitation. Our phobia of anything "dirty" may explain why we have such weak immune systems, because we give our bodies no practice at eliminating foreign "critters" we may have ingested.
FCD is right: we can eat and drink things that aren't up to Aunt Prissy's idea of wholesome food with no ill effects. And the things that do make us sick are because our bodies have never fought off that thing before. Mexicans drink the water in Mexico, you know.
For the record, I've eaten street food in Mexico, Vietnam, and elsewhere without a burp, and the sickest I have ever been was from my wife's own Thanksgiving meal one year. Home cooking is no defense.
I actually like Subway. Their offerings are fine.

I remember reading somewhere that a missionary from the states had been assigned to teach in one of the poorest regions of India. In order to prepare for his mission he did a lot of research and concluded that the general public of the area were infested with several types of worms in their digestive systems.
He ingested those same worms and was able to eat all of the local cuisine and even wash it all down with the water from the River Ganges without ill effect! 😮
take a few minutes watch just about every food or travel show in other countries what and how people eat . I think as Americans we feed our pets better prepared food . but then they have for generations ate the same way and have built up immunity to a lot of things that would get majority of us sick or in the hospital .
watching them washing off the meat or any food ( if they even do that ) that's sat all day in the sun in a ditch or creek maybe river with more solid waste than water but humans for countless years ate and lived thru worse and will continue to do so
as a kid I remember other high school kids bragging about spitting or worse in food where they worked just one of the things always happen even our government standard's allow a % of insects and rodent poop in every processed food we eat no way around it .
And of course because he saw it on the internet, it must be true. Bonjour!😀 Bob
To clarify my remarks . I am not a fan of sub sandwiches unless made at home by me.Subway is probably good as sub shops go
Agree, I've always been impressed with how clean everything was in Subway, everyone wears head covering and gloves and as you say, you get to watch them make your sandwich to your order. I also like the fact you don't pay until your satisfied, everyone else wants your money up front 😊
"Never do wrong to make a friend----or to keep one".....Robert E. Lee
I like the Infidel samwich at Subway - Peperoni, Ham, & Bacon.
I usually get the BMT with provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers and Italian dressing. Cold on white. They are pretty good in a pinch.
Haven't eaten at Subway for awhile now..........that girl must have been on something.
Reflecting the comments of some others though................I have eaten street food from Mexico to Colombia and every country in between.......and a lot of it in Puerto Rico. I have been inflicted with some intestinal issues occasionally, sure, but mostly never got sick. It's like little kids eating dirt...........exposure strengthens the immune system.
The one I go to is clean and has fresh produce but the prices are going way to high to which I don't frequent it as much. ymmv.
Exactly what I buy. No hot peppers or mustard but about everything else.
I agree that we can tolerate a lot more than we think.
I was a gold miner way up north and we decided we needed running water in camp. There was a stream up on a hillside so we bulldozed a big pond and laid a piece of poly pipe in the bottom leading to camp. Bingo, running water!
Late in the Fall we noticed the water had a bit of an odd taste so we hiked up to the pond one evening to check it out and found a dead moose floating around.
No wonder! But we didn’t get sick from it.
Just as a heads-up, all Subway shops were closed today to prepare for tomorrow's "major menu lineup announcement."
Wanna take bets that it'll be nothing more than some new "woke" sandwich and some different kind of bread? Instead of the classic BMT, maybe it'll be the BLM.
Subway...serving the best lettuce sandwich in the USA since 1965!
Saying that you don't want to eat at Subway because some gal fell asleep on the job, would be like saying you don't want to be an American because 'ol mashed potato head is the president..... Not my President, but still my Country.
I avoid Subway's lettuce and tomato. I get spinach, cucumbers, onions, green pepper, black olives, jalapenos, and Mayo on my sammiches.
Subway is the only place open late around here.
The big hype was as I predicted above: a couple "new" breads and a couple "new" trendy fad sandwiches featuring avocado. And they've jumped on the delivery and in-app purchase trends. And they offered free sandwiches for two hours today.
Haven't been in one but I'd bet that prices also crept up today. The $5 Footlong is now long gone.
After the big "Tuna Scandal" they most likely closed for a day to lick their wounds.
My teen daughter just got a second job at Subway and I am going there tomorrow during her shift to harass her and get a sandwich........lol......I will see if I can find out what the re-set is and if the quality is good. She also works at Sonic and makes good money there.........tips, tips, tips.
I am content with my 40/week and doing HVAC on the side...........she has a real drive to work and save and be independent.
Had Subway today for lunch
And...?
I am not a subway fan I like Jersey Mikes or Fire house subs here in NC. Harris Teeter grocery stores make a great Sub and the are cheap.
I will say I have eaten some really bad stuff in my life. I have had food poisoning a few times, that is out the front and back at the same time and you feel like you are going to die. Asia has some interesting things on the menu but for filthy I would give the nod to Africa. Go to a place to eat in the Congo, South Sudan or maybe Liberia, now that's nasty.
I have also found that drinking plenty of Alcohol aids is keeping you safe from the bugs. I read a story about the filming of The African Queen That John Huston and Bogart were drinking Gin and tonics all day and got drunk every night. They were the only ones in the cast who never got sick.
used to tell the wife, gin and tonic was medicine...............
