Carbon, carbon, carbon

Growing very tired about the carbon discussion.........it's in the news every day. Too much in the atmosphere. We need to sequester it. It is warming the atmosphere. How can I off-set my carbon footprint? Carbon credits........
Just sayin'

Approximately all of the carbon that we are burning and putting into the atmosphere today was at one in the atmosphere.
We humans are only bringing the earth back to where it properly should be. Who is to say how black the atmosphere should be? Are we, in the post-Floyd era going to continue with our obsession to remove blackness from the skies?

Anti-carbon is racist!
And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Who says the world is at its optimum temperature now? It's demonstrably cooler than it has been over the last few hundred thousand years.
So I'm gonna go fire up the big dang diesel and do my part to warm this sucker up a little.
Yea, and if the talking heads would use the entire term CARBON DIOXIDE then it doesn't sound nearly as bad. They termed it "carbon" because then people are fooled into thinking it's some mysterious black soot that is killing us all. ITS PLANT FOOD PEOPLE!
I watched the ABC Evening News tonight. They had a story about the terrible fires out in California. Hundreds of houses burned. Naturally, David Muir said it "is due to Climate Change."
Like these are the only fires we have ever had. Let's study a little history:
********************************
From Sunday, October 8 through Tuesday, October 10, 1871 wildfires claimed thousands of lives and destroyed millions of acres across the Upper Midwest. The most famous fire struck Chicago, and claimed about 300 lives while destroying over three square miles of the city, including more than 17,000 buildings. For many years, the cause of the fire was attributed to a cow housed in a barn on 137 DeKoven Street. The cow, owned by Mrs. O’Leary, purportedly knocked over a lantern that set off the blaze. A reporter later admitted to fabricating the story, but it continues to endure in popular culture. The actual cause of the fire was never determined, but weather conditions across the entire region during the summer and fall of 1871 produced conditions conducive to large, rapidly-spreading fires should one ignite. Large wildfires also struck several areas in Michigan, with Holland, Port Huron, and Manistee seeing the most significant damage and loss of life. Although the exact death toll from the Michigan fires is unknown, it likely claimed in excess of 500 lives. However, the most costly fire in terms of loss of life occurred in and around Peshtigo, Wisconsin, and remains to this day as the deadliest fire in American History.

I don't think we had too much Climate Change in 1871, but let's not let historical fact get in the way of a good story from ABC. Another thing, hurricanes. Every time there is a hurricane in the past five years, ABC says "Climate Change." I read an analysis of hurricanes from a weather expert, in the fifty years from 1921 until 1971, we had many more devastating hurricanes, than we have had in the past 50 years. In other words, "Climate Change" is actually good for reducing hurricanes. But, the obsessed Libs on ABC and CNN can't be bothered with historical fact. I am not even going in to the hurricane that destroyed Galviston in 1903 and killed 5,000 people. These Climate Change warriors can't be bothered with facts.
Wait- what happened to the hole in the ozone layer?
I just got done shooting some Bullseye loads in a 1911. Talk about carbon!
Seems curious to me that I can offset my carbon footprint by paying a tax.
The carbon we are burning as fossil fuels now was sequestered deep below the earth long before humans evolved and we may not be able to cope well with a warmer planet.
Humans were created....just saying. PLUS I remember when the climate change crowd was the Global WARMING crowd right after they were the Global COOLING crowd. The same idiots who are saying climate change is gonna warm the planet and kill us all are the SAME idiots who said Carbon was gonna cause the temp to drop and we would freeze to death. Global COOLING was their stick in the 80s, then global WARMING in the 90s-2000s, then they figured what the heck, let's call it climate CHANGE so we can have it both ways!
It warmed up here over 90 degrees since January. I’m coping with it just fine, as are the animals plants and trees. The earth warming a degree or two over a century is negligible at best.
Don’t the Catholics call that buying an indulgence?
Beat me to it Mr. Perfect.
Well I came upon a child of God, he was walking along the road
And I asked him tell me where are you going, this he told me:
Said, I'm going down to Yasgur's farm, going to join in a rock and roll band.
Got to get back to the land, and set my soul free.
We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.
Well, then can I walk beside you? I have come to lose the smog.
And I feel myself a cog in something turning.
And maybe it's the time of the year, yes and maybe it's the time of man.
And I don't know who I am but life is for learning.
We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.
We are stardust, we are golden, we are billion year old carbon,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.
By the time we got to Woodstock, we were half a million strong,
And everywhere was a song and a celebration.
And I dreamed I saw the bomber jet planes riding shotgun in the sky,
Turning into butterflies above our nation.
We are stardust, we are golden, we are caught in the devil's bargain,
And we got to get ourselves back to the garden.
