I found this interesting, Pat Garett's Single Action revolver along with a rifle that was buried along side Wild Bill Hickock.
Hmmmm! When did they dig up ole Bill and take this???

I was always told: Buy the gun, not the story.
I though grave robbing was a crime and did they dig it up the next day to keep in such great shape
as Pawn stars Rick said every show I ever watched ( not many I thought it was too fake and set up ) let me see the documents and iron clad proof any one can make up a story
I usually only buy guns with a mind to shoot them. Sure couldn't imagine a couple of million for a gun that won't ever be shot.
Interesting story.
I doubt that anyone who died in the Wild West would have been buried with a gun, or anything else of value. If a Law Enforcement Officer was present, HE would have confiscated any firearms. Otherwise, first person carrying a gun on the scene would take what he wanted.
Hundreds of "Billy the Kid" guns were sold by his mother after his death.

I read that a long time ago people always asking you dont happen to have his gun hoping to take advantage of a older woman
" come to find out she was stocking up at the used gun market seeking out cheap pistols and when ask if you have Billy's old gun she step out would come back into the room with his old gun .. I always thought that was funny as all get out who would have thought his poor old mom would do such a thing but hay a gals got to make money also
I never heard this about Billy's mom, but did hear about Jessy James's old lady doing this quite often!
